We've only ever done same room to date but would like to try seperate with a couple we were familiar with.
Whilst I share your sentiments about the benefits of 4 in a bed, sometimes it can be distracting as I constantly want to check my wife is having a good time / show her that I'm having a good time! In seperate rooms you could give all your attention to one person without fear of having neglected your own partner. Just a different dynamic...
Although we've heard horror stories about people that did seperate rooms with couples they didn't know before, so we'd never try that. |

Years ago with a guy i met many times we met other couples. Some liked to all play in the same room but one couple prefered to have seperate room fun, they liked to hear but not see.
We didn't mind so went along with what the others prefered, especially as we were only a couple that swung together not a real life couple. |
