Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and I have come across someone who is into BDSM. I want to know from anyone who has had experience in this to know what it is like? Google only tells you so much but rather find out from more experienced people. I don't like to make an opinion on it until I have actually tried it but would like to get more of an insight. If it is something that interests u read read and read some more. I recommend 2 books. S and m 101 and screw the roses send me the thorns. Both on amazon. Both great for newbies to bdsm |

Both are great books. Jay Wiseman is a great author on this topic.
And if you want to get into more specifics on any topic, then Greenery Press do a great line of books on various topics (e.g. Flogging).

As a person above has said fetish events are a great play to witness different style of bdsm play, and find new things. I went to one at the weekend and was amazed at the variety of different fetish play going on, some I've experienced, some intrigued me, the more extreme was not for me but good to see. |

Go and find your local Munch, they are casual meetings in public places such as pubs, for like minded people to meet and chat. They are normally very newbe friendly, you can spot them as they will have something like an a/z on the table with a diverse group of very normal looking people! |

Op go to events... Read as much as you can but many interpret things differently... In the end the only peoples ideals that matter are those involved.
However you can learn techniques and safety aspects from those with experience.
Would love to explore more with rope in the future.
