When we started out, years ago, we had fake names but it got too confusing. We met a couple last year who told us,when we arrived that their profile names were fake and told us their real ones. I got confused very quickly!
Entirely up to the individual really but it didn't work for us

I shorten my name on here, but my name is rather unusual. In fact, if I Google my name (first and surname), I only find things about me...... plus, if I use my full name I always have to repeat it several times before people get it right. Cal is simple enough that even a blonde understands first time

I use my own name too but it's amazing how many people there are that have trouble believing my birth name is Sir Quindigley Muskeratt Jenkinson the 9th esquire??? |

I go by Courtney, which isn't my real name, but it's close enough not to confuse me. If I meet someone in person I usually still go by this name so I don't confuse myself. On rare occasions, depending on my mood, I'll go by my real name. |
