I know it's been debated before, but as someone who tends to read them but then take with a pinch of salt, I'm interested in others opinions.
I normally have all mind hidden but am showing some of the recent slightly less generic ones (most still pretty generic - sorry to the authors! Mine aren't generally any better!) for a few days as am a bit sick if getting asked to see them!?
I didn't think that they mattered that much to anyone!?
What's your take on them?  |

No-one has ever asked to see any of my verifications since I stopped displaying them so I don't see that they really make much of a difference. I have been messaged by those checking up on those I've verified though so maybe they are of use to some people. |

I don't ever display my summary either since it has a few cam veris from one time over a year ago when I went into the chat rooms. It's not something I've ever done since and displaying the summary would give totally the wrong impression of how I use the site. |

I don't ever display my summary either since it has a few cam veris from one time over a year ago when I went into the chat rooms. It's not something I've ever done since and displaying the summary would give totally the wrong impression of how I use the site."
Where as I have only just started camming if late..... I know it's not always a true representation as I have a friend who has veris off tv's despite not being into that, but was at a party and met several - he ended up ditching his profile and starting over as he said lots of women cited it as a reason not to meet him!  |

Also sometimes when you first meet someone they seem nice so you give them a verification only anyone can pretend to be nice, then you find out what they are really like. So the verification could be lies and bulshit. 
Saying you meet someone at a party maybe had a couple of drinks, you could miss judge someone. |

I think it's always better to have a few rather than none, but it's not really essential. Some I guess use them as confirmation that you aren't fake. It helps others make a judgement on you.
What is actually written in a verification is pretty much meaningless to everyone, other than the people involved. The fact that almost all veri's are positive means you should take what is written with a pinch of salt. Unless it's true that every woman on here gives the 'greatest blowjob', every man has a 'great' cock and every meet really is 'the best meet ever'.
I think you can probably tell more about someone by the veri's they've written than by the veri's written about them. Anyone who likes to go into a lot of graphic detail often strikes me as a little immature. No one needs to know about the intimate details of a meet surely. But that's just my opinion. Some are hilarious to read though. |

I've met unverified / verified / people who don't display veri's or the summary so for me I guess you could say it's not the main criteria as to whether I meet someone or not.
Sometimes though displaying them can be more hassle than they're worth. I've had someone take the moral high ground over some of the people I'd met, which was a complete pisstake as far as I was concerned. |

But ONLY a summary wouldn't tell anyone anything but that in your case, some guys, women, couples and TVs wrote something in the verification which was sent to you but you decided not to display these
It is your choice, of-course to display or not to display these as it is the choice of others to then decide whether to meet you or not to meet you |

I use to put them up when I first started on this site but I haven't put them up for years. I cannot see much point. Everybody is different and my experience may be totally at odds to someone else. Let's be honest who would write a bad one ? Or would anyone send a bad one ? |

When I was very new business here, someone who I was potentially going to meet after only chatting for a day or two wanted to see my verifications.
Understandable.
When you're relatively well-known; no point.
If you have chatted for ages and got to know someone; no point.
If you meet at short notice and/or they aren't well-known (forums, cam, club or whatever); they can be useful. |

I agree that their main purpose is validation, and those that contain more lurid and graphical accounts of proceedings can be off-putting and stretch credibility,

When buying a car, I check magazines with reviews on that car. I don't believe every word which is written but it does give me a general idea of it's reliability and performance
Verifications are just the same. Ofcourse these are written by complete strangers and not by my nearest and dearest. And ofcourse it is their opinion only. But lots of verifications, by different people at different times, mentioning the same personality trait or physical characteristic about that person makes me build a mental picture of them

Are they useful? Not sure really, I dislike the ones that go into graphic detail about the encounter, but thats my taste.
