Ok, I might have a bit to go till I reach that milestone, but I'm ballsed if I'm giving up in 22 years! Besides which when I finally retire I'll have so much more time....and I guarantee I'll be over 55 by then! |

I bet the OP is making the same assumptions younger members do about age. I have a feeling the people they are contacting have upper age limits so it appears ageism is rife. Younger members complain older members don't want to play with them as they're the same age as their kids!
We could all find an "ism" if we looked for it instead of accepting we'll never appeal to everyone and respecting the preferences of others! |

I hope not as I (Lynne) was 55 last year, but luckily Andy is five years younger than me so when you first spot couple and age it's Andy's age that shows. Can be a good excuse though as any guys contact us that I don't like the look of I just point out that I'm out of their age preference. |

"I'm fairly certain we've played with an over 50 year old. Don't know about 55, but hey. You never know until you try.
To be honest I don't check the drivers licence."
but your limit is 45 |

"55 certainly not too old.
not in "dog" years it's not, but I'm nearly 54 but feel 104 some days "
Second that feeling Jack!
This year any meet we have tried to arrange seems to have dried up like a prune, beginning to wonder if its age related. maybe time to take a couple years off our profile |

There is an implied bias against the more mature swinger. More flab and wrinkles, less stamina and so on. It isn't true. There is plenty of testimony to the skills, sensitivity and just plain 'up for fun' ness of the life experienced amongst us.
I do think as a generalisation that the online world better suits the younger swingers, but also believe the more experienced relax and get the most out of their real life situations. And with age comes experience |

well if age is only a number as you say in your profile then why do you have an age range of "38 upwards" on yours...
arent you then guilty of the same sort of "ageist" stuff as those who you claim are guilty of not meeting people over 55?????
ladies and gents of the jury.... the defence rests.....
some people just don't want to meet people old enough to be mum or dad.. or granny and grandad.....
just as some people don't want to meet people young enough to be son or daughter.. or grandchildren...
such is life......... |

p.s.... wasn't this the same complaint that you made a while back, not use to having a good memory... but the "green arrow" is a wonderful thing.....
hopefully this time all the answer people give you are taken in more than it looked like last time.... |

We keep getting contacted by a guy way over 60 and all we keep asking for is a facial pic, which he never sends.
Like I say to him you could look really good for your age, or you could look like my old grandad. I'm not against his age, just the fact that he won't send a photo to us, he just keeps telling us he looks good and I won't be disappointed!!!
No pic, no meet, easy as that. |

I think I posted this on another thread a couple of days ago,
Most single guys don't have an age preference.
Most young women want to meet young guys.
Most older women want to meet younger guys.
It's not a hard and fast rule, but neither is it a sweeping generalisation.
60yr old studs are rare, they are around, and good for you if you are one, or you play with one, but unless they operate in certain popular circles a 60yr old guy will struggle to get a meet.
Another major consideration is aesthetics. Nature is kind to some people. Some 60yr olds could pass for late 40's whereas some look quite the opposite. Looks, physical stature and dress sence are all influencing factors.

Thats exactly my point, to me if you look your age, its more likely you will be a crap fuck, whereas those that dont look their age, are much fitter, and to be honest old fucker you dont look your age |
