"Do you like to stand out in a group of people?
Or are you that person who stands out naturally? "
I think I stand out naturally on some occasions and not others. I don't mind standing out when I do but I'm also happy to take a back seat. |

I used to hate standing out. Having my condition and a mildly duff leg means people always used to stare etc.
Now? couldn't care less. Go to work in pinstripes, waistcoat, white mad scientist lab jacket, fob watch, smoked aviator goggles and elbow length Black gloves, occasionally wear the Einstein wig to make ' em laugh.
It's fun pulling up next to someone at traffic lights.
life's too short. put on an act, give ' em a show. |

I am tall and always stand out, used to hate it but more comfortable in time. K is quite shy and reserved but, on occasion, when the centre of attention in a club for instance, she just shines, it's lovely to see - although clearly I'm biased lol |

I may stand out in relation to my clothing, I have a quirky dress sense.
But in a large group of people I wouldn't take centre stage or shout loudly. I wouldn't stand out for being loud etc. Im very observant of others behaviour though. |

I blend in. Much safer.
And whilst I have no qualms with people who stand out "naturally", the people who try extremely hard to stand out often lose sight of why they wish to stand out in the first place. |

I have an unusual sense of dress and have had my hair every colour of the rainbow. Currently back to black as not wanting to stand out right now. Always look a little peculiar though apparently lol |

"No, I hate it. My height and size makes me stand out especially if I wear heels. If I could lose a few inches and blend in I would be much happier. "

I think everyone wants to stand out. Who would want to disappear in to the background??
For me, a smile stands out. There's nothing more attention grabbing than a big smile.
Makes me think they're a happy person and I like being a round happy people. |

Me! I have no desire to be noticed. I don't crave attention from anyone. |

Really? I think we choose pictures on here which flatter us and we feel would garner attention. Otherwise we'd leave the black avatar and our profiles blank.
That in itself is trying to get the attention of others.
May not be on a night out but it's still a desire to be noticed. |

Being noticed is different from "standing out" in my view. On here I am looking to meet people so I post photos to attract their attention - but I only really want to be noticed by those I want to meet, everyone else can sod off. In real life, no I would far rather blend in and I hate the fact that I can't. It's shit being about half a foot taller than all the women you're on a night out with and sticking out the top. |

I have no desire to gain Attention on here either at the moment. I'm not looking to meet new people i just like being creative with pictures. Here's a good place to do that. |

Depends on the situation and who I'm with as to whether I stand out or not.
I don't have a need to stand out but I don't necessarily want to remain blended into the background. Somewhere in the middle is perfect for me |

I've always considered myself very lucky! I'm nearly 6ft tall in heels and told I 'scrub up well' - so if I make an effort with clothes and make-up I tend to get noticed (unless the room is full of gorgeous women - in which case I'll just perve quietly along with the guys! )
However - I can go out make-up free in baggy clothes and never get a second glance!
I love the fact that I can do both! |

They stood out a mile in a packed pub full of rugby supporters the other night - a welcome splash of blue in a sea of d*unken red ,
Blimey, that sounds cheesy |

Yes I always stand out and I have no problem with it. Aside from usually being the only natural redhead in the room, my style (hair, clothes and make-up) is vintage/retro so I attract attention and compliments. I'm confident, chatty and friendly so even without the looks I don't blend in. |

I don't like to stand out, I'm quite quiet but I tend to get easily recognised, as you don't tend to see that many 6ft tall guys with long blonde hair and glasses. |

Me: Abso-fuckin-lutely. Yes, that was me twerking, wearing no knickers, while standing on a table at the club on Saturday... I like to wear the hottest outfits and the highest heels. Not afraid to do crazy styles or colours on my hair. I love standing out!
Hubby: not so much, but enjoys the attention we end up getting because I often end up turning so many heads. |

A few years ago, I realised I'd drifted so far from my friends from younger years. "when are you going to grow up, stop doing stupid things, and have a family...?" And I realised that it wasn't that I wasn't grown up, it was that they still cared about conforming to the norm, they still worried what other people thought. It was me that had grown up, and was able to be my own person, and do crazy stuff that made me happy. |

I think I am the latter and am perfectly happy with that. Sometimes when life is getting on top of me I can be a bit quiet and at those times I tend to blend into the background more. |
