Hi my lovelies!

Please note I am NOT fishing for compliments - I genuinely don't get it!!

I have a few wrinkles

I have squidgy tits

I have a slack tummy - even after many gym hours

I have thread veins like a road map of Britain - and scars from varicose vein ops!

Yeah I'm a bloody good giggle - but I always have been!

I have to say in all honesty that if I was a young guy faced with an attractive 27 year old and an attractive 47 year old - I'd go for the 27 year old every time!

Hi, I have had a number of younger fuck buddies over the years and I always wondered that ... and asked. It was about being real, not being high maintenance, and being a grown up, so I was told. I got to the point where a couple of them wanted a relationship and met my kids too (teens), going to movies, football, etc. I don't see the appeal of the younger man anymore myself, though, and adore my current partner, who I met on here. So I suppose I am doing the same thing, but with men. Given the choice, I would much prefer an older man for experience, banter and things in common.

Im guessing that some guys prefer an older woman for her experiences and knowledge of pleasure giving.

I'm very much at the 'younger man stage' - but I'm guessing that's because I spent 20 years in relationships with guys my own age who didn't treat me very well! I'm assuming I'll gravitate towards guys nearer my own age again in time! X

Yeah I get you! I DO meet younger men as I'm very young (ie immature) in my mind - but -as you can see from the thread title - though I know why I enjoy their toned, muscled bodies and energy - I really don't see what the attraction is for them! Xx

I'm sure that is the motivation in many cases along with the assumption that older women will be grateful and flattered by the attention of a younger man

It's the confidence older women have especially in their 40s. We are comfortable in our skin, we don't take shit that we might have in our 20s and 30s. We know what we like and aren't afraid to ask for it. This is all very appealing to the younger man. We are far more sexually experienced and again this is what appeals.

I have a big weakness for older woman, always have done, right from when I was 17. I'm now in my 50's and love playing with women in their 60's & 70's, and never play with someone younger than 50ish. As I've got older myself I've come to realise why exactly an older woman is so attractive. For me it's largely to do with personality - chances are she'll be comfortable in her own skin, she'll be warm & genuine, no need to show off or point-score, and the conversation will flow so we'll click easily.

Yeah I guess you're right - though I was surprised by the number of much younger guys who contacted me on dating sites when I thought I wanted a relationship too - and I know a lot of other women experienced this too!

Proportionally, though, there've been far more on fab so you definitely have a valid point! X

She doesn't believe me when I tell her the majority of men like real women, not the fake supermodel look. Women over 30 are usually less superficial and just more enjoyable to be around. I think many of those attributes you've described can apply to women all of all ages though not just the older ones, so it comes down once again to what you as an individual finds attractive.

I think when I was in my thirties or younger I wouldn't have been on here. I was busy building my career and raising a family. Perhaps the fact that older women have done that and aren't looking for someone to help out with that helps? I know younger women aren't all looking fir that, but wonder if, subconsciously, its there. I dont think its a coincidence with me that when I started meeting men my own age, I met my OH, something was telling me I was ready for a relationship, even though I didn't know it ....

I have a similar theory to you as to the reason for our appeal!

Namely:

I don't want any more children so I'm not looking for a provider - ergo I don't care what job he has or how much money he earns - because I'll never need him to support 'our' children!

My biological clock - which urged me to settle down and have kids 20+ years ago - has now completely shut down and, rather wonderfully, as I'm very happy, I feel no urgent need to have a relationship!

I think - whether they know it or not - men are often attracted to older women because something primal tells them they won't become 'trapped' into providing for/reproducing with that person!

Conversely I've known guys to have a preference for older ladies - but to switch completely for attraction to women their own age when they're looking for a relationship/someone to start a family with! That's also very natural and understandable! Xx

This is an interesting read.

As a youngish-for-Fab woman, I pretty much only meet men a canny bit older than me now. Very few men around my own age and none younger have ever succeeded in making me feel actually desired by them. Only the older ones manage that. I don't know if it's maybe a little bit that I like the power dynamic of being the younger one. The younger men are the ones who ignore me in real life in bars and clubs too so they do have that to contend with in my brain too and very very few can get past it and convince me I'm not just the next hole.

If it's not taking the thread off on too much of a tangent, what's the appeal of younger men, besides physical?

I tend to go for early 40s. I need more than physical attraction. Some life experience etc and i find i have more in common with them than people my own age.

Ive never been a club goer etc. I had kids young and have a lot more life experience than alot of people my own age.

I like the laid back attitude ive found is more common with guys and gals who have had some life experince and dont take fab too seriously.

Obviously though that doesnt count for everyone and im generalising a bit but that been my experience.

Hot cause there young on its own doesnt turn me on. For me seduction is a lot in the mind xx

I've tried dating (off fabs) and meeting (on fabs) younger women, but I find it much more hit and miss..

I've only ever had relationships with older women, and my meets with women older than me have been great, presumably because we seem to actually find stuff to talk about.

For the record though theres plenty of young women who are confident, articulate and know what they want. So i guess it can apply to anyone. Being older doesnt make you any of those things nor does being young make you a giggling inexperienced needy person.

The only difference is physical and thats subjective and based on your tastes. Im 29 (just) vut my mind and unfortunately body are much older

Ok! For me the physical appeal does have a lot to do with it - better bodies (generally), youthful looks and higher levels of fitness/stamina (though I'm well aware that's not always the case!)

But there's more to it than that! I've spent all my life dating guys my age - with exactly the same cultural references, same background etc etc - so it refreshing to meet someone i'd never meet in real life - younger, more fun, the lack of life experience & responsibility etc is very appealing!

Also far less likely that we'd fall for each other and get hurt!

I don't think so per se - no! Unless women have changed a lot since my youth anyway! I've always been essentially ' a bloke in a dress' - fairly easy going, not easily stressed, not insecure and therefore pretty low maintenance. That hasn't really changed over the years!

I think it seems to be people's perception - often inaccurate- of what a younger woman and an older woman would be like that affects their preferences! Xx

I can give a "generational" perspective on this. I have a "friend" on here. I've known her for a number of years now. We met at a party, we have had sex a fair number of times over the years. She is a few years younger than me...but for the purpose of this debate, she is the "older" woman. She has pretty much all that the OP points out (apart from varicose veins). She has had five children.

She is very good when it comes to sex...she knows what she is doing for sure.

Call it a cliche but I'm more attracted to the person not the age. *Some* (not all!) younger ladies are on a different wavelength in terms of maturity, way they think etc, so I'm naturally drawn to people with similar life experiences and upbringings which tends to mean people around my own age are the ones I connect with best.

But that's a broad brush approach and at an individual level I take everyone on their own merits. Someone who can make me smile and laugh and comfortable will win me over every time irrespective of their age

This could have been written by me!!! 1 of my 1st meets on here was 13 yrs younger & had just turned 26. He was ex-army, very fit & bloody gorgeous!!!

I can't really comment on older men as they've only really been a couple of years older. Having younger parents makes it feel a bit wrong somehow.

Its getting ridiculous (in a good way) the amount of young guys that message me, the older i get the more messages i get i would say 3/4 of my messages come from guys between 35-25(25 is my lowest age) ive even lowered my upper age as there is so much choice. Well we all like a tight little young thing but I imagine that has to do with your more adventurous nature

Most of the vanilla girls I have met so far don't know a thing, so you have to teach them everything from the basics.

Older women seem to be at ease with themselves a little more, they know how to relax and enjoy themselves as they have good years of experience. I'm more attracted to older women, and always have been since I was 19 and my 1st older woman was 32. Since then I've scores of older women, and always have had a better experience, sex seems so much better with them. I seem to attract younger women a little more than older ones for some reason though. Some have been good but many mediocre and that's not because I've only participated half heartedly, but because they weren't as good lovers as older ladies, that's my experience anyway.
