We all get messages and winks but how many look and say to young, to old. What age gap do you consider being acceptable from your age, 5 years, 10 years ? |

Yes you can tell quite a bit from pics but it's the messages that tell more of the story.
Plus I meet for a social first and that tells all. Also, despite being with someone for 22 years, I've not had children so I don't have those issues about meeting younger guys. |

Personally I won't meet under 25 (prefer 30 as a min age) or over 50 (prefer 45 or under). |

Since joining Fab I've come to the conclusion that age is pretty much irrelevant. In fact nowadays I don't even bother looking on the profile. Great people come in all shapes, sizes and ages, as do idiots. |

Birthdays wouldn't exist if it was merely just a number.

I'd base it less on age and more on how we connect in person, when we are in a club someones age is irrelevant as it's all about attraction and finding common ground. But chatting on here as a general rule I would be less interested in under 25's and over 50's. I'd feel uncomfortable with someone aged 18-21 as it just seems so very young |

They have to be at least double my eldest sons age usually.
As for oldest age is a number it's down to attraction. There are some men in their late 40s I think are great. There are others in their early 40s who I just think no.

I think it's different for woman and men,
I prefer older women myself and I don't shy away from women my own age.

I won't sleep with someone under 18 and over 65. Generally I love much younger and much older guys but since there are more blokes in my age group, I've ended up sleeping with more guys in that group |

I go through fazes. But in general it's how I connect with someone that counts. Age isn't just a number. It's a measurement. But it isn't an accurate measure for whether or not I will get along with someone.

Normally I have a 15 year age gap, where it's 5 years younger and 10 years older ....
However saying that in exceptional circumstances I have extended to the odd 20yr old or the 46 yr old  |

As cliché as it sounds, age really is just a number.
The last woman I slept with was 22. The one before her, 44.
If the chemistry is there, you're both on the same wavelength and turn eachother on, then that's all that should really matter. |

For me this is more a question of maturity
I have known women of all ages and found some in there 20's far wiser and more mature than those in their 50's

I just know I don't have any interest in anyone younger than me. They just keep prooving how immature they are. I'm looking for mature men, a young "lad" (oh I hate that term) does not fit this and apart from maybe 2? all have thrown their toys out the pram when I have said I'm not interested.
Older guys are the same; I go by who attracts me and what age range they happen to be in and add a couple of years just incase I miss any older who are aging well and that's my top age range.
It all depends on what you are looking for and what you are comfortable with (for example if you have children the same age as the person interested in you). I don't have children so that isn't an issue for me, I just know what I like and younger guys just do not fit that. |

luckily, there are girls of all age, that like the thoughts and act on them for an old guy. They feel secure.

Feel free to call it 'trite,' but personally, I've always believed that age is 'just a number' (usual legal caveats notwithstanding.)
To be honest, I really couldn't care less if you're 18 or 118. What matters to me is if we share a connection, and whether you're willing to keep an open mind.
People can't do anything about their age: far better to base your choices on things that they can exert an influence over.

They have to be legal, not look like a child, not act like a child and be attractive to me (which considering I like facial hair on men means they have to be old enough to grow a decent scruff). That's the only lower age limit I have, however hubby has nearly 10 years on me so I understand that his lower age limit is a little higher than mine so on here we come to compromise.

For me has to be mental age....which is hard to guess - some people behave more mature than their age some quite opposite... NUMBER in that case can be very useful and can be treated as a guide.
For example, for me, people 28 and under are ADD generation, addicted to video games...so...it's a big fat NO from me.
People 58 and plus are generation of 'Woman get me a sandwich while you're scrubbing that floor', generation where men thought women live to please them and they always always have to agree with them...
But Obviously there are always little rebels who don't follow others like a sheep

On this profile I have mine set 30 to 45 (so up to 22 years younger) but that's purely to curb the deluge of mail. Some 29 year olds (and younger) are delicious and some older guys are as well - it's the brain and the attitude (in addition to a decent face and a hard cock) that do it for me. It's a superficial arena I'm afraid . . . |

Was just thinking that hundreds of years ago before records and calenders you wouldnt actually know a persons precise age. There would be no legal age of consent and no real way to judge age except based on maturity and looks. That sais you were probably dead at 25 killed by a sabre tooth tiger and so on! |

Rather bluntly put but, in my opinion, well said.
I've been told by some people that it's a bad idea to have your age limits set at 18 to 99, because it suggests that you're just looking to shag 'anything with a pulse.'
However, just because you don't care about someone's physical age doesn't mean that you have no standards. It just means that I see a person's interests, outlook and attitude to be far better criteria for judging their suitability as a partner. |

Same here. I don't put an age limit but that doesn't mean I'm not fussy. I look for intelligence and charisma mostly, that has no age limit. I have found over time that I have more fun with people who with 10 years of my age than others.
All that being said, a few pints on a Friday night and my standards slip and could wake up with almost anyone. LOL |
