The 800 and 850 bus goes from Reading to High Wycombe.

And it stops right outside where I work and makes the most god awful noise

Hellfire Caves were excavated in West Wycombe in 18th century and used instead of Medmenham Abbey

I often use that route from Bedford to Reading to avoid the M25. What is that massive hill you drive up just after the roundabout near the Wycombe Swan Theatre?

I know exactly the one you mean, not sure what the road is called as I refer to as a bitch of a hill

(...Nothing like a newbie reviving an old topic eh?)

Been living in Wycombe for 12 years now. It's pretty much made of hill. West Wycombe is home to the Hellfire Caves and and all the stories connected to them, including the story of Suki who was accidentally killed in or near the caves. She is said to haunt the George & Dragon pub... which always has a good selection of local beer on.

Someone mentioned the White Horse... No, just no!!

The Wycombe Six -I think it was one of the first multiplex cinemas! It's still there run by Empire. more screens than the original six now and I believe there are expansion plans too.

There's also a cinema in the town centre, part of the 'Eden Centre'
