Hi to you all

I'm pretty new to the forums and posted a question in another one. I'm thinking perhaps I should have posted it here as I'm after genuine swinger opinions.

My question is....

SM is a like you can check as an interest on here...yet BDSM pics are often banned.

Is there a genuine reason for this from the point of view of site users?

I think it has something to do with UK law on pornography etc. Rather than anything else, might be wrong though.

"I think it has something to do with UK law on pornography etc. Rather than anything else, might be wrong though."

That's the reply I got from an Admin but it left me confused. After the recent (ish) changes in the UK Pornography Laws a great deal of none BDSM pics on here are technically illegal such as any containing face sitting yet they are fine :/

Thank you for the reply though

Thing is I've seen plenty of pics involving restraints on here.

Plenty involving people in "schoolgirl" outfits.

Both of them equally illegal yet permitted :/

Pictures of people in restraints, and pictures of women in schoolgirl outfits are not illegal.

I wondered the same myself. Which would be a shame as rules should be universal and not based on personal preferences.

Yes but it's an amendment to an earlier act. And maybe you're right...maybe it doesn't cover photos...I'm not pretending to be an expert...but if it doesn't cover photos then we're back to the original point....

Why are SM photos barred when you can tick it as an interest?

Because you can do it but the site doesnt really have the funds to hire a legal team to defend any cases

Also it would be fairly stupid to publish the kind of pictures that get banned (heavy harm) because that would be enough evidence to earn yourself an actual bodily harm conviction

Hmmm, that's a shame. Can't knock a good squirty pic. Would have enjoyed seeing that one.

More likley the first picture mod was fairly relaxed but somone has since reported your pictures (someone youve rejected maybe) and the mods have to review them and remove them if they break the rules.

Because Admin don't want those pictures on their site.

Simple really.

I would imagine it is basically a thin wedge argument - you have to draw the line somewhere.

Like admin told you, it's based on their interpretation of the law and what they can safely allow on here without serious risk of being dragged off to court to provide evidence or of being prosecuted themselves.

It's the same reason it's not permitted to discuss serious illegal activity on the fora. Admin doesn't want to be summonsed to court to provide evidence.

Oh and some of their rules are based on things they just don't like, which is fair enough. This isn't a fetish site.

They think it's inappropriate to show pets in photographs, for example.

The picture rules are here:

https://m.fabswingers.com/articles/photo-rules

"Nothing nasty. The photo can't show anyone who might be being hurt, or who has been hurt. It also can't show anything that is outside the norms. If it's too rude, taboo or unpleasant, or if it puts us off our dinner, it is not welcome here."

So, if by admin's judgement it's outside the norms, rude, taboo or unpleasant, it's not allowed.

They allow people to list it as an interest, they just don't want to see it. And it's their site, their rules.

I had a cbt on one of my pics forever. I only removed it as I wanted to replace with a more up dated one.

We have bondage and CBT on our couples profile - just hidden away in the shadows. You can see it if you know what you're looking for.

You can look other places anyway, if that's your type of photo. There are sites for different specialisms.

I like photos with a hint of what's happened anyway - so you can fill in the lines in between, yourself.

Basically it's their ball and if they don't want you to play with it you have to like it or find someone else's to play with.

I dare say they will be over careful what to allow on the site for fear of any repercussions

Admin have something against watersports photos. They're not illegal, they just don't like them so they're not allowed.

Seems fair enough to me.

If you want to post whatever photos you like, create your own site

It's "the norm" as far as admin is concerned and that's what counts.

I'd say it pretty much the norm for swingers. This isn't fabBDSM, fabCBT or fabwatersports after all. The rules would probably be different if it were.
