I went down the "salon" route - it's way expensive. I bought (or rather John bought me) a Philips Lumea IPL machine, no "extras - re gel, bulbs etc). I have to use it every two weeks, but totally worth it.
I am presuming the £800 is to have it done professionally ?? - you do have to keep going back for more treatments as it's not a permanent solution. x |

I have a hot wax every 2-3 weeks the more you go it doesn't grow back prickly at all!!
It's not strip wax it peels off instead of ripping off!! Makes you totally smooth for 2 weeks then soft hairs afterwards!!
It's worth the £30 everytime
If I shave when it's too short the i also get the red spots and then it's sore

I get waxed every four weeks. Admittedly sometimes it's a little painful but regrowth is less the more you have it done and feels better than shaving imho anyway |

I stopped shaving because I was getting sore. None the my long term partners have ran away. Anyone who can't stand it can leave me alone. I prefer men who aren't turned off by natural hair,smells and body fluids. |

Strange, I had my back and shoulders lasered a decade or so ago and it hasn't grown back at all. Granted I wasn't exactly a yeti to start with, but it wasn't all fine hair either. The main reason I went ahead with it was because it is (supposed to be) permanent. |

I personally don't mind the prickly stage. The only thing that puts me off is a badly maintained rainforest

My preference is smooth or trimmed but am ok with natural but i don't enjoy performing oral with a mouth full of untrimmed hair. I always trim myself very short before a meet |

The in-between stage is difficult. Short sharp-end hair does "needle" against the shaft of the penis in a way which is not sensuous.
Using scissors to trim to several mm long has the same effect.
The hair will lose its sharpness sooner than it grows. You will be left with short but smooth-feeling hair quite soon.
Maybe you tough it out, and in the meantime tell him he is welcome to simply "dump a load" in you? Squirt his spunk into you quickly so abrasion of penis isn't long enough to cause soreness? If you are doing it with strangers, will they feel the difference through a condom anyway? |

I shave but I always have to kind of have a grow back period because I can't shave when it is the prickly stubble, it's scratches when I shave and I end up cutting myself and it goes all bumpy. So I have the grow back period so I can get past the prickly stage and start again, little bit more hair gives me a smoother shave

I use the body shop facial exfoliater in the shower straight after shaving my man garden. Stops any itching and those pesky little red bumps. Works every time. |

the same applies to a prickly face!!
Im with the girls that need to leave it to properly grow back before i can shave it off again ... Its just not worth the bumps and ingrown hairs if i do it earlier (learned this lesson at new year )
I do try to mostly wax but i get impatient during the grow back stage so if i have a meet or club visit arranged its back to the razor which means starting again
Totally jealous of the people that can shave every day ... I do that with my underarm and legs no problem but my lady bits just wouldnt put up with it  |
