Social meets - what exactly does that mean...

Hi all,
OK, that may sound like a rather dim question and perhaps the clue is in the title
BUT - what exactly does a social look like and what exactly happens?
The reason we have asked a very obvious question, is that some guys have said they had a great social and fun playing...
Hope all of the above makes sense
Thanks everyone!

Basically its you liking someone, but you rather meet them away from bedroom scenario first time - coffee/beer n chat - if you click then you either move on from there or re arrange for follow up meeting - I tend to find this sorts the timewasters out big time - asking to meet for drink and chat as apposed to just jumping in the sack sorts them out lol |

Thank you!
Think we may have stuffed up and not incuded that people advertise big social meet ups. Which by the sounds of it, many people attend.....
It's sounds like a planned 'event'? |

When we have a social, it's literally just that - we've done coffee, lunch or a drink. We always say no play - it's a social ! Allows both sides to form an opinion and decide if fancy play another time. We've had some great socials to date.
I guess, if someone has travelled a long way, I can see why a social followed by play would happen if it all felt right on the night! |

There are a couple of different kind of socials.
The kind where you have been chatting to a person/couple and fancy meeting up for a coffee or a drink down the pub to see if there is any point taking things further. Which you can do later that evening, go back to your/their place or arrange a play date for another time.
Then there are the organised socials at either a swingers club, pub/bar or I think there was 1 at a Zoo( ? ) recently. Someone arranges the location, advertises it and people put their name on the list. If it is a vanilla location like a pub then everyone is on their best behaviour, have a drink and a chat and socialise. If at a swingers club..... well the skys the limit |

That's a bit judgemental, isn't it? If a couple want to indicate to one another that there is no attraction without blurting it into the face of the person they've just met, what's wrong with that? |

An organised social is just that .
An event where like minded people meet and mingle , chatting and drinking . No play .
Not our thing , but certainly a good opportunity to network and get your face out there amongst local potential playmates .

We are very much adults too and also have signs/words to signal we do or don't want to go further. One reason why we always have a no pressure social first. I think this seems to be the way for people that like to meet others and become friends. No the shag and go -never to be seen again. |

Helps make sure that both of them are on the same page, 1 isn't thinking this is gonna happen when the other, normally the Mrs, is thinking no fucking way! |

We have signals too .
However there is another thread on here entitled ' who fucks without a social ' which shines a slightly different light on the subject .

A social meet is what you and the people you are going to meet agree it's going to be.
An organised social is a group of like minded people getting together to network.
There isn't a right of wrong way of doing this, no better or worse...just what's right for you and the people you're meeting. |

Yes, some people arrange larger Socials, which can attract over 100 people. These tend to be held in private rooms in pubs and clubs, and they are a great way of networking and making friends, sort of like a night out down the pub, but with the added bonus that you may end up going back to theirs if you hit it off, either that night, or at some future point. |

I used to arrange Socials in Malvern...for people from Brom down to Gliucester....usually at a pub but with the option of coming back to mine...which often a smaller group would take up....
Will never forget the time a random "vanilla" from the pub, overheard our chat, thought it was a "normal" party and invited herself back.
My god did she get a surprise....but fair game! She stayed the night in my bed and basically went like a Duracell bunny for a fair few hours........ |

If someone asks for a social meet,to check I'm not a minging 40 stone gargoyle I stipulate there will be no short skirts,no public kissing,no touching under the table or popping into an alley for a quick bj. That's to make sure he's not just after some public fantasy play time. I have once succumbed to this, but it was me who kissed him first,in the pub. I know,I'm a hypocrite |

About two years ago we used to meet in a pub , and specifically do all the public fantasy play time . Happy days |

I've had quite a few socials with most being with 1 particular fab member.
Initially it was as a prelude to a play meet but it transpired I wasn't their sexual type but we clicked emotionally, mentally and intellectually.
As a consequence we've enjoyed drinks, dinner, picnics and even a gig together |

we have had a cple of social meets and all went well, one of them we did end up playing it just went well and went with the flow,
also most clubs have social events for others to meet up chat and put yourself on map, the club socials we have been to most ended with a large proportion of guests playing seperately or in groups of naughty fun |
