I wouldn't say it was essential for me but certainly goes a long way. If you can intertwine your mind with a potential partner then the sex following can be exceptional, or at least has been in my experience.

Yea, this for us too. I would add that good conversation stimulates the mind which keeps me interested in the person - a meet is not just a physical encounter, there are lots of psychological factors too - humour, intellect, connection - all have a part to play. M x

An intellectual conversation is nice but isn't the be all and end all. Being able to have a conversation with someone who's not a total numpty brain is much more important. Being able to talk on a wide range of subjects keeps me interested and is always something I look for in a woman.

Someone who you can go from talking about analingus one minute to Greek philosophy the next. I like someone who can hold my interest. They don't need to be intellectual.

It's not necessary for me, i went through that stage years ago and had some very interesting discussions but found the arguments and conclusions remain stagnant eventually.

I can converse on an intellectual level with the rest of them, talk football (intellectually), etc., and also chat away to some very intellectual six year olds .... go with the flow. Surely intellect is in the eyes of the beholder, for instance at the minute im d*unk as a skunk but to me im an intellectual titan but to anyone sober im probably a twonk but hey thats life!!!
