I don't generally wear lingerie,just a decent matching bra and knickers. I have worn what a man wanted to see me in,in the past,which I supplied. I also had a regular partner who bought me some. We picked it out together and he paid for it. It was no big deal,he could more than afford it and enjoyed buying it,along with toys. |

If ever the good lady and I divorce, then she's your ideal woman! You'll be expected to know her exact sizes, style and have accounts at various lingerie shops. Got a thing about shoes as well? Same thing applies there!
But don't think buying the underwear will lead to a good night.....although it does buy me a few quiet hours to watch the cricket! |

No thanks - and most of my bras and thongs come from primark anyway - and they seem to go down (if you'll pardon the pun!) pretty well!!  |

Only ever done this once. Someone I was seeing for the third time last summer.....she was going to the private shop in Gloucester anyway....she was buying stuff....I saw something else that matched and picked it up....she said no as she didn't have enough on her to get that as well...told me to put it back.
I could tell she liked it tho so I bought if for her....no need I just did.
She wore it later so in a way we both got fun out of it....saw her a few more times after that too....never bought any more!
Sometimes it can be just spontaneous....but should not be dependent on meeting...that's just a form of prostitution? |

I wear what I want to and what I feel sexy, confident and comfortable in at the time and most guys are very content in my choices

I've been talking to a guy who likes to buy me things. Fortunately he's hot and charming and I would talk to him and do stuff to him without the little presents, one of which will be a matching lingerie set. We have met up and assessed chemistry and chatted for about a month and a half now... Our dynamic has been established, he enjoys this sort of thing.
Working at a lingerie store, I see men who buy women lingerie as a gift, they always go for sleazy stuff, and I would much rather look online or in store and tell him what I want, as I'm going to be wearing it.
If anyone pitched up at a first meet with a box from Ann Summers I'd probably tell them to get lost, I'd rather he spend that money on a meal or a drink so we can get to know each other better.  |

I'd personally be a little offended to be honest. Feel free to ask me before the meet to wear lingerie for a meet but I'm perfectly able to buy my own. I don't need someone else paying for it for me. :/

I'm not comfortable with anyone buying me anything...I've had guys bring me chocolates and flowers on a first social meet and I find it inappropriate.
One meet turned up with a pair of white fishnet stockings and a barely-there lycra dress that I could 'wear for our next meet'. He wouldn't take it back so it was consigned to a bin on the way home. There was no 2nd meet  |

I agree. Taken out of context anything can sound a little iffy. If you've met someone a few times and they buy you something, be it lingerie, flowers, wine, chocolates, shoes, whatever. As long as you're both happy what's the problem. I guess it all depends on the person you're with, how long you've known them, how many times you've spoken, where you're meeting etc etc. so many variables that I don't think it's easy to have a blanket yes or no answer. |
