Okay so I saw another thread about being someone's type physically and seen a thread about personality.
A lot of the time people ask for face pictures to gauge the physical attraction and we all at some point get the message of "Sorry,you're not my type" right?
Correct me if I'm wrong, this site works on the basis of physical attraction initially, then personality second as it would do on dating sites because at the end of the day you decide whether you want to sleep with the person or not.
Or do you look at someone and say to yourself that they aren't normally who you would go for, but you'll give them a chance because they might be a really nice person or would that just be a sympathy fuck?
Question: Do you put physical attraction before personality?
Just curious as to the consensus of the forumites. |

50/50 I suppose ...you need the attraction and the personality to keep you hooked .
I've met stunning girls but no personality which left me lacking and I've met other types which have blowen my mind .. |

I put personality over !ooks but that doesn't mean I'd shag someone I wasn't attracted to. But a great personality can make the average man shine.
But how can I judge someone's personality straight off?
I can get a feel for someone, if they send a picture with a nice message I will chat either then I will realize we get on or we dont. I couldnt shag someone I didn't like

Both equally, really. I wouldn't have sex with someone I found physically repulsive, nor would I have sex with someone whose personality was abhorrent.
I prefer to get to know someone's personality first, before I see what they look like. That way, I don't get unjustifiably affected by their looks. |

On here I need to think the person looks reasonable in their pics. They also have to convey a type of personality that I think I could get on with.
I host socials as well with a friend on here. All kinds of people come to them. So they are much better for liking someone's personality over their physical looks.
And I have to admit that one of my Fab friends is 'not my type' at all but he's ace

If it's a meet- say you get introduced at a club,having never met before-then yes-physical looks would first.
If however you get messaging on here to people you have not seen and there is a connection-then looks may come as a secondary consideration when you eventually meet?
To have both is obviously better !
There is a third consideration though.
Some people are attracted to the thickness of ones wallet/purse?
Eg a nubile/fit young man/lady to an aging lord/lady of the manor with a dodgy heart !
Just our thoughts.

I've put looks and other physical attributes before personalities and it hasn't done me any favours. Dated a guy for 18 months that was physically perfect but dull as fuck, the most annoying thing in the world is arguing with someone that's just too stupid to understand your point of view, lovely kind guy but fuck he was dopey. |

I always put how a person looks before how they are as a person.
I fell in love with someone that wasn't available and I would not normally have looked at her twice. Proves I'm a fucking Muppet. |

I would say the looks is the thing that grab's your attention but the personality is that thing that holds your attention.
For me also I use the forums to see what the person is like via their posts and then through talking to them. If there is nothing other than the physical spark I would happily so thanks but no thanks. |

Mainly physical attraction first. I have met guys i didn't really fancy and enjoyed the sex* (in fact these are the guys i'm more likely to cum with) but i never fancy meeting them again, idk why not but the good looking guys i can't get enough off.
Personality wins me over for relationships really and not casual sex, although i don't wanna fuck any douches obviously. |

If someone can make me smile or laugh then chances are I will be somewhat already attracted to that person. Of course looks do matter, but I think you can always find something beautiful in someone. Just my thoughts. |

I suppose some would say that a person's personality may shine through their profile or message. That probably grabs peoples attention.
Some may get chatting to a person and not see their face picture till just before meeting (Personally I would prefer a face picture initially to gauge if I wanted to continue further interaction that would eventually lead to a play meet). |

I will say I have met a few people that when I saw them I was like wow 
But they had dull shallow personalities that weren't so fun to be around and have met others who I thought were mildly attractive to me, that because of their personality made me want to keep seeing them and increased my attraction to them. |

I met someone on here not long after I first joined. Not really my normal type. He is older, abit shorter than I normally go for but we get on really well and that for me makes the fun stuff a whole lot better. I would rather spend time with someone that makes me laugh |
