Ok so some people may think I'm being a little 'thick' here but this is a serious question which I have often thought about but never actually asked...
I personally have never had a partner that I could 'swing with' but I look at this site and see many different relationships, such as single guys and girls, MF couples, MM couples, FF couples, tv,s and transgendered women, etc....
My question is what actually qualifies you to be a true swinger and do you have to be a couple of whatever gender to be considered a swinger or does the term swinger relate to a community?
I do hope that not too many rocks are thrown at me for this post  |

Wife swapping, you'd need a partner for that. But even after saying that some couples meet alone too.
Not even sure what swinging is myself exactly, according to definitions it just means promiscuous sex. Some people think singles are on here for couples, i don't agree with that and not sure what the site owners would say either... i mean we are allowed on here but was it so couples could meet us? Idk. |

Oh for fucks sake I ain't letting that spelling travesty survive.
I've always been under the impression that a swinger is someone who is open to more than one sexual relationship*, but draws the line with having multiple partners who they're fully emotionally involved with.

I swing with my boyfriend but I've also met separately too and still considered myself to be swinging when I did that. I think the couples only aspect is a bit dated - for me it's about people enjoying having multiple partners, clubs, group sex etc and more about a sexually open-minded attitude - and that's totally applicable to single people as much as couples. |

I think it used to be limited to people in committed relationships who had sexual encounters with others - with their partners knowledge either playing as a couple or playing separately.
But these days single people who "play around" are considered swingers too. |
