I recently saw a face on facebook who has a profile here. The name is the same there as it is here!
Fabs encourages people not to use their actual name here but do people use it on meets? And how much about yourself do you feel the person has or needs to know?
It made me wonder... |

I know loads who dont use there real names lol secret identity, there swing phones lol. One guy I have met on here lol used to know hinm growing up lol and have met up again recently for fun was in the same pub the other weekend completely ignored each other lol but ended going home with each other lol. |

I do wonder when I see profiles like that whether they might be a "revenge profile"
you know - some nasty jealous ex bf or gf setting it up using their exes FB pics and real name so they can direct friends to it and say: " see? I told you (s)he was a slag/slut/cheaing bastard etc etc etc |

I dont really tell anyone anything about me really, i never talk about my family life, tell people where i work, i dont even give my phone number out
I tell people what i feel they need to know, i mean after all its swinging what do you need to know?
what someone looks like and what they like sexually
what you do for a living, how many kids you have and what you do in your spare time does not really matter |

I don't have any issues with telling peeps about myself - if they want to know, I'll tell them, except for matters relating to finance.
I believe if I am open and honest about myself, people would be able to understand more about what makes me tick etc...
I don't feel I have anything to hide, except for the embarrassing fact that I am extremely untidy, hence I do not play at home.
One just needs to have a look inside my car or briefcase, and be able to imagine what my house is like!

I too don't feel the need to act like I work for SOCA. My playmates also feel the same: I know where they work, live, land line numbers etc...but we're playmates and in three years not one person has ever overstepped the mark.
It works for my playmates and I and that's all that matters really. I fully understand others not wanting to know about those they play with or have them know anything about them, especially after some of the horror stories I've read on these forums.  |

The best profiles are the ones that have msn address email facebook addy telephone number. I just laugh whatever happened to an air of mystery. I tell those who I want to tell the others nothing. I'm choosy who I share info with and as for facebook I've my family on there I'd never add someone from fab onto it. |

My real name isn't Invictus. I know that's a shock to some of you...
Well, I do give out my first name to those I meet or have exchanged a few messages with but I do avoid references to work or family.
There are a couple of ladies on here that know a bit about me, but generally I'm very cautious. *looks around to see who's looking*

Your facebook or msn public photo can work for you though if you need discretion.
On this site you could send privately the same face pic you show on the social networking ones and if you get 'caught out' you can then say that person is pretending to be you on Fabswingers must have stolen your pic from your facebook one and are passing it off as their own. This will only work if the person you are covering your arse to doesn't recognise you from any half nekkid public pictures you post on here....
Facebook is rapidly turning into a swingers and dating site anyway... One day there will be no specialist websites just ones where you state your intentions and get connected from that. |

We always give our real (first) names to meets/prospective meets, it has never crossed our minds not to!
I think we're perhaps too trusting, but then we've never had any problems in our 5 years so we will carry on as we are!
