It's not just men who don't read profiles
Jump to: Newest in thread
I know that the men of Fab are notorious for writing to ladies without reading their profiles. My wife and friends are always receiving inappropriate messages.
just this week I got chatting to a local lady. We seemed to get on, exchanged messages for a few days and were looking at a social meet in the new year. I happened to mention my wife and got a response "I don't meet married men"
Now that is all fair enough and her choice. But the first line of my profile says I am in an open marriage. Clearly she hadn't read it.
Who would meet someone without reading their profile? |

Not everyone who says they are in an open relationship is truthful.
Despite you being honest, it's still a personal choice to get involved with a married man regardless if he has the wife's consent |

Nope.. And I read more than once.. Before talking... And nip back from time to time incase they have added to it |

Absolutely, it is her right to choose not to get involved. My point is, why exchange messages over several days and almost arrange a meet without reading the person's profile?
She clearly hadn't read mine. |

Gilette, that is how I tend to be too...nipping back to read a profile again especially if we are looking at arranging a first meet. I might have missed or forgotten something or the lady might update hers.
I would have thought that a deal breaker in the first line is something noticeable. It's also easy to confirm that I am being truthful. I run meetings centred around ethical non monogamy with my wife. |

I find reading a profile saves a lot of time in the long run. Even if it's lengthy... Mine is.. But if people can't spare 3 minutes to find out my likes and dislikes then I'd hate to think what the foreplay would be like |

"Perhaps she was just exchanging messages and stringing you along out of politeness and then decided to back out using a lame excuse? "
she was suggesting a meet so I didn't feel she was looking for a way out. |

What's an ethical non monogamy?
Being non monogamous ethically! Which means everyone concerned knows and approves. "
Not sure ethic is the right word to use but I get where you're coming from |

I read all profiles first personally, but others chat first, she was obviously a chat first.
Ultimately she said no, she could have strung you along or just blocked not giving you a reason |

how is it unethical? The idea of ethical non monogamy is being openly and honestly non monogamous, where everyone concerned knows and agrees to the lifestyle. I would have thought all swinging apart from cheating falls into this category. |

I've tried to have his conversation on here before and it was a total waste of time. Amazing how closed-minded a lot of swingers are towards poly/non-monogamy. |

OK I'll be honest, I don't always read profiles especially if I like the look of their pictures it has bitten me on the bum a few times where I've been found out but mostly it's worked out OK |

you questioned the use of the word "ethic" which comes across as questioning whether consensual non monogamy can be "ethical" |
