Liquid silk (and/or other lubes?)
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hey folks,
I've never really used lube before, but recently got some. And the stuff I got was silicon lube, which I have decided I don't like (too greasy, not slick enough, doesn't gel with my own juices etc)
So I'm looking at water-based, and a lot of people swear by liquid silk.
Now, the thing that is kind of.... holding me back.... is the colour of it. I think I'm just used to KY and most lubes being transparent, and the milky look of liquid silk kind of puts me off a bit....
What do people think? Will I cease to notice when it's in my bits? Any other lube people like? |

Personally I use a water based one called "Yes" it's natural and aloe vera based. Comes in various sizes and includes an applicator. I suffer from an immune condition and this lube is by far the best yet.
Is clear with no chemicals leaving no taste behind. Highly recommend. |

Used loads of Liquid Silk over the years - has been very good.
However, lovehoney sent me a free bottle of "50 shades of grey - silky caress". I didnt expect it to be much cop but was pleasantly suprised. The stuff is pretty good - similar to liquid silk but seems to stay slippery for longer, without needing a top-up. (Good for toys).
One of my old toys came with a small bottle of silicon lube - horrible stuff. I use it for lubriating stuff in the garage - lol. |

I tend to use the Durex range for most things. They're readily available in the high street which makes it easier. Water based isn't so good for anal play though. Although other lubes can rot condoms.
I keep meaning to order some of the stuff that the gay shops sell, I think it comes in powder form and you dilute it for anal use. |

The silicon stuff *says* it's not greasy, but the feel is similar enough to greasy that I've not got on with it. Heh.

You know the (awesome) gay porn where they're using lube in drinks bottles in massive quantities? That's the stuff they make up from powder. |

I've just been informed that the good stuff is J Lube (do your own research, etc). I'm off to eBay. :D |

This stuff is Sodium Alginate and comes as a powder that you mix up with water. Used extensively in Nuru massage. Not sure if you can buy the raw ingredients in the UK but it is a commercial food addative I believe. Lots of Google info out there on the matter! |

We use liquid silk when we are using it with our silicon toys, but when just playing together, we use DUREX PLAY PERFECT GLIDE LONG-LASTING GEL LUBE (ignore all the caps, I just copied and pasted) which is a Really good lube, it lasts ages, doesn't get stick or tacky, its great stuff. |

Hey, I've used liquid silk and Pjur and some other random silicone lubes. I like liquid silk but it doesn't last that long. I do like using it with silicone toys though. I personally get a bit of a kick out of the colour, pouring that white, creamy substance over a fake cock does put a smile on my face
For non silicone toys and other uses I like the staying power of silicone lubes like Pjur. |

Liquid silk all the way. Although I'm not fond of the taste so once the silk comes out, any further oral play is done with. Durex lube just dries out too quickly and is too sticky. |
