The forums are in my opinion places for banter, education, fun, agreement, disagreement, entertainment and so on.

I have, however noticed a trend of point scoring and more appallingly, a serious lack of tolerance which is rather pathetic. Resorting to insults as a way of making one's point is soooo unfab.

The latest I read of was a threat of 'no sex' for having a certain _iew point. Wow!!

A warped idea is a warped idea no matter whom it comes from.

Some people just like to bitch, moan and belittle others. They have nothing nice to say about anyone or anything at all. Makes you wonder why they even bother being here then, but I'm learning to skip over their comments as they're irrelevant.

I post on threads that interest me, the rest I skip over. On the threads that I do comment on, I will say exactly what I think but hopefully in a way that does not offend. Whether someone is offended means little to me as people enjoy the outrage and wear indignation like a badge of honour.

It's laughable at times the quest for harmony, it doesn't exist anywhere in the world, well maybe a spiritual retreat in the Himalayas. It won't happen here, now or ever.

thank god.

The forums are whatever you want them to be. As long as you play by the rules (which most of us do most of the time) then it's all good.

Like any large cross section of society, there will be people and topics that some people identify with and other that you don't.

Complaining of a lack of tolerance while calling other posters pathetic is to me a touch hypocritocal

Threat of "no sex" made me giggle.

I assume this threat was from someone you wouldn't want sex with anyway....?

Or probably a "single" guy with no verifications having a rant because his poor attempt at a profile didn't get him an instant shag?

Some rather deluded individuals on here...ignore them, block them, whatever you feel appropriate...then enjoy the rest!

Seen recently new people greeted with scorn because their profile/post/face was not to people's liking. Not even talking about the normal self destruct posts here but still had the piss taken out of them. The moral police skulking around and pouncing on every story and fantasy that disagrees if their principle's such as a taxi driver receiving a shag as payment. If you don't like a post don't actually have to post on it can just move on and leave it to others who will and won't have to read an inane, unnecessary sarky comment.

Sadly this isnt the first thread on this topic and wont be the last. Its pointed out over and over. Some will agree. Some (usually the perpetrators) will deny it happens or make excuses that they feel justify it. The mods will say report it if it happens but from experience I have to say reporting is futile as nothings done, I guess what some see as an abusive attack others just see as a difference of opinion. Then the thread will die out and next week another one will spring up and the circle continues.

This again!

Fab is a cross-section of society - ergo many people are lovely, some are just ok, and a few are downright horrid and I'd never want to meet them!

Acceptance of that makes our experience on here more palatable! Xx

The poster you're condeming, in my opinion, always remains dignified in his responses: can't say the same for you.

I don't always agree with him but he speaks his mind, no ambiguity as to what he thinks. I prefer backbone to white knight fence sitters, but as with all things: each to their own.

One thing everyone should consider communication via forums, text, email and social media will always be flawed even with the use of emoji's because don't see body language or nuance during a sentence.

There's people that thought were complete twats from comments had seen on forum and then when met in real life were alright. Know that some times when I type I've not proof read what I've typed so what I've meant to say has come out different to what I've typed. Perhaps taking the extra time to think about what am going to post would do everyone some good if everyone tried it instead of ruining threads with personal insults against others.
