Has anyone used this and actually found someone when it says their mobile is only 1 mile away etc......?

If it said 0.5miles are they in the same building??

As I only use it from the laptop in my bedroom, I feel that I am pretty safe ... we saw a local couple who were within a mile which probably means they were shopping on our local high street .... neither of us recognised them. Benefits of living in a big city ...

There will be thousands of people within a mile of me where I live and even more where I work, so I don't think it would really tell me much!

If you turn it on in London you get loads 'within a mile'. Met a guy who lived 200m from the hotel I was staying in.

PS you've been in a building half a mile long? Maybe the Shard would show that...
