We have a set up at home with our TV on the wall, but nothing to put a DVD player etc on, so we have one of those Fire TV box taped to the back, and we loaded all our DVDs and whatnot on to a computer in a different room, which then gets streamed through an app. This includes my small porn collection, which is stored in a separate collection locked under a pin.
One night, my nan was babysitting for us. I should state that one of the reasons for having this set-up is that we find netflix, amazon prime and the catch up apps are more than enough for our telly needs and so we don't have live TV - saving us the cost of a TV licence. Our daughter was already asleep, but my nan was rather annoyed at the fact we didn't have "proper telly", and she couldn't work our new fangled devices, so we offered to put a nice long film of her choice on for her before we left so she wouldn't have to press anything.
I had made the mistake of assuming that because our "special collection" was pin protected, nothing could go wrong, but apparently, after the film she was watching finished the app picked up another at random to play, and happened to pick the porn version of "Pirates" we had on there - without prompting for the pin.
We had been home for a few minitues and had been chatting normally about how our night had been before hubby asked, noticing the telly was off, "how was the film?".
Her reply: "It was OK. I had to turn the telly off tho because that pirates of the Caribbean came on. It was really good, but I had to turn it off after a while because there was a lot of sex scenes and I couldn't work out how to turn in down..."
My hubby gave me a look, but I didn't click until a bit later, since we actually have all of the PotC films, that there isn't any sex scenes in the Disney version.
If any of you have seen the film, which was something we picked up from Ann Summers and isn't your usual prono flick, you might know that with this film particulary, it is conceivable that my nan really did think she was watching a "normal" film, at least for a while.
I'm dreading the day is actually watches the Curse of the Black Pearl or whatever, and she realises what she was watching, but it hasn't happened yet.
Of course, she might already know, and is just too polite to say! |
