After yet another message from someone who does not fit in with out preferences, I am wondering does anyone ever read your profile requirements.
Example we set our age at max 45, yet we are stil getting loads of messages from people mid fiftys.
Are we missing filters ? |

Yes you are missing filters.
Make sure to cross out age filters so it reads like this:
Ages: Anyone outside your age preference is blocked
Your preference is for ages 26-36 and only people between those ages can mail you, others will be blocked. Allow any ages to mail |

Yes people read our profile. Do you have over 45s blocked, if one of a couple is under they will still be able to contact you. |

Rarely, most cannot even read the first sentence but its clear they haven't so I don't reply as my profile says I wouldn't but they don't know that because they haven't read my profile! |

Some people do and some don't.
I only message after reading a profile, that is what is going to attract my interest. Especially if I giggle out loud while reading,
Pics help but you can gage far more from profile text (no matter how long/short it is) that you ever could from a photo.
Although I have sent a cheeky wink after viewing some hot pics.
But if a profile has a part that says if you have read this message please write "Whatever" in the subject box. I don't bother because it really annoys me...
Again we all have our own rules and ways of making this hobby of ours work for us.... As with anything in the swinging world Each to there own.  |

Very possibly but don't be too hard on the "oldies"? For one thing you too will be that age one day and for many "over 50" they are all too easily consigned to the scrap heap by younger people who might benefit from their experience. 
For many "over 50's" theirs is a strange life, not for them do they spend their days trawling the WWW for pix of big cocks or bouncing boobs . . . for they spend their last remaining years watching the sand drain out of egg-timers.  
Cut them some slack . . . even better get under the sheets with them and find out about where else they've found buttons to push as yet unknown to the "45's or less"?  |

I sometimes read profiles and sometimes I don't. I don't read many actually as many are badly written, boring and cliched to hell and back 
I mainly just chat on here to people and sometimes fab their photos if they are good. |

We have a buzzword up hidden in our profile and ask people to put the buzzword as the subject in a message if they're interested in contacting us. It's AMAZING how many messages we get everyday with no buzzword. They just get instantly deleted. If someone can't take a couple of minutes to see what we are looking for then they aren't the people for us. |

If they haven't read your profile that's a filter in itself, delete block move on.
Or.. Or...
Be proactive and seek out those you'd like to meet yourselves.. rather than wait for those same folk to find you.

Oh we do approach guys and far from sit about waiting for the right guy to notice us however the messages will and do come in and sorted out thats no problem just baffles me why so many dont take note of profiles for there own sake really

no they don't read them I have been on here a while and read profiles thet say no pic no chat yet the men they meet don't have any if you write a nice profile it gets you no were if you put fancy a fuck now it get you no were . what people should start to do is read the verefacations and look at the people they met it will shock you all |

Age limits are a strange thing.I work on the calulation that if I am prepared to go x yrs below my age I should go x yrs above.
I notice that many people go say 10 years above but 20 below.

We get the same issue, says in caps we only want black guys, but we get a hell of a lot of others messaging us, not that we mind, we like a good read of the filth they send lol, but it's clear they don't read. |

I think that means X people read the first sentence then moved on to the photos.
Think its right about long photos profiles though but its hard to get everything over in a short sharp shock! |

I don't have many filters - because just because I don't want to shag someone - doesn't mean I mind them messaging me - particularly forum friends!
Because I shag so few of those who message me (time constraints and being a fussy cow) I point out that they don't HAVE to read my profile - but I try to make it as amusing and entertaining (and accurate) as possible - to counteract all the shouty, demanding profiles they wade through every day!
When people you're not interested send you a message it's their time they've wasted, not yours, so why worry??
Ps - ironically I get lots of messages from people who've read my profile and giggled a bit - which is lovely! |

I always read the whole profile and always put whatever the people we are messaging specify in the message header but sometimes don't get a reply even though the recipient states they will only reply if you put for example..fab as message header, so how do single guy's stand any chance of replies ?? |

I met a single guy on here and that's how we became a couple. How are people supposed to step into 'swinging' (by this I mean the traditional definition of couples rather than singles - although I personally think that swinging has moved on from just couples and become something for anyone to get involved in) unless they start somewhere? I'm curious as to why you think single guys shouldn't be on here. |

I've never messaged anyone whose profile I hadn't read through at least once or whose age/sex/status requirements I didn't meet - unless they'd contacted me first.
Apart from not making a nuisance of myself, I see that as meaning I don't waste time tailoring messages to women who are presumably even less likely to reply than all those whose requirements I do fit and who still ignore or delete!
Looks like I'm in the minority in reading profiles... |

There is, obviously, a minority of people (couples and singles) who don't read profiles; they just look at the pics, press wink and send a "hi, how are you" type message - these people are called "optimists".
There are, also, people who send very nice messages tailored to that profile - these people are called "genuinely in with a chance".

I think they do read mine. 693 profile views today and only 189 messages currently unread in my inbox. Granted I've deleted quite a few but that's still quite an uneven ratio of views to messages. |

We find that more often than not, people don't read the profile. The ones that do are much appreciated.
We use profiles as a way to out people. It's easier to scan a profile to see if you're suitable than to spend 2 days messaging to realise you aren't. |

Why is it? It's a fact, we never have a profile, just cryptic one and we've done ok xx
That single guys shouldn't be here i meant.
Well they shouldn't nor should single women, Swinging is a Couples thing xx
you have advertised for a meet that includes single females on your profile,does it take practice to be a hypocrite or were you born that way?
Because singles are on here for us couples to use & abuse, always have been & always will be xx"
So how does that stupid arrogant comment work for singles who don't meet couples work then  |

Example we set our age at max 45, yet we are stil getting loads of messages from people mid fiftys.
Are we missing filters ?"
You've set the filter not to receive messages from those without pictures so presumably had I pictures, I could've messaged you |
