Just after a little advice. When is the best time to send a friends invite? I never know if i should after the first contact or to wait a while. What do people think ? |

dont push it, ask after the 3rd or 4th message sent. Pushy isn't good as so many blokes are its a turn off i guess |

If after someone has read.. understood and then met or chatted on the phone with.. we happily add, same with most we know.. A few exceptions when we know they are real...
Those with a long list of friends who have been on site a week are just a little obvious eh... |

Being 'friends' on here is pretty irrelevant and meaningless i find. You can send pics with messages if necessary and if you are messaging them you can keep track of their profile that way or in your hotlist (guess this may be different for people who get alot of mail but you are a single guy, lol).
Different people rate it differently anyways. Some will add you without a message whereas some won't until you have sent a few.
I say it is meaningless only because we are all really trying to make freinds for real. Being friends on here doesn't mean you really are friends, and friendships don't need a tag on a website. Although I'm sure facebook would beg to differ! |

Whenever we receive an approach from a couple we fancy then we always send a friend invite along with our reply... simply as a way of sharing our private pics with them and hopefully seeing more of them in theirs too.
If we were making first contact then we would send a friend request if the other couple reply positively, together our second message.
These methods seem about to work well for us.

just relax and you will know when to send and invite. I personally am very very careful as my face pics are on profile, dont wanna frighten em to death lol first, also dont want someone to recognise me if they a neighbour or work colleague lol |

The way we handle it is to look at profiles, if we like what we see, then we send a message to them. If their profile asks for face pics, then we include a friends link.
This is only because we have our faces in private pics, not on the front profile page. |

I guess everyone's opinion is different .... I only send/accept friends invites from people I have met, who I'm really friends with. I don't have any private pics, so there's nowt to perv LOL |

Its an interesting issue whether to add or not. does it set a precedent or are we all just perving at friends pics! Well i suppose we are all different. I tend to add friends, people i have chatted with but not always met.
Now you have to decide if to hide or not now lol. |

Our profile is quite clear about not wanting friends requests or winks - yet we keep getting them. Our 'friends' list is mostly people we've met or intend to meet - not people from 300 miles away who want to perv our pics!
If we've exchanged a few messages and it seems promising, then we'll send a friends request or reply to one, but only if we get a sense of the other people being for real. |

We are new to this but dont think we would add a friend on here unless we had met.
Its always annoying when you log in and you have five requests from folk youve never heard from before! |
