Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Eat the same as you do now (unless you just eat sugar cubes and lard), just less of it. Then introduce healthy food to replace unhealthy food slowly.
Just walk for exercise. Its still considered the best exercise, and will help you lose weight slowly so more likely to keep it off. |

In my opinion it's more about eating less and exercising more. I put nearly 3 stone on in just a couple of months when I quit smoking and am losing it by eating less and exercising more. |

If you are severely overweight then you might want to see your GP and ask if you can be referred to a dietician and GP referral scheme.
If you are not severely overweight, you can start just by eating less of what you eat now. Try and incorporate colourful food into your diet, stay away from stuff that is 'beige' or brown - so basically anything deep fried and keep potatoes and other starchy vegetables in moderation.
And exercise more. Could be anything from walking more every day, to getting a gym membership and hiring a personal trainer. Your budget and personal interests will likely dictate what kind of excercise you will enjoy doing. |

don't starve yourself, as this will fool your body into thinking that you are skipping meals so whatever you do eat, your body will just store it as fat - it's your body's natural survival thing. Instead eat regular meals, and snacks (look at your WW food planner) there are several foods that you can eat as much of but not include it in your points. I never used to get WW, but started this year and lost nearly 2 stone. Due to having surgery this has gone back on, but i plan to start again , it's not a case of eating less, if you don't eat enough now, you actually need to eat more, or change the things you are eating. Remember NOTHING is bad, if you want a biscuit, have one, but don't eat the entire packet. If you cant trust yourself with a normal sized packet buy the kids lunch box sized ones, and have them instead. As for exercise, you can walk (walk to the shop instead of driving, and carry the shopping back) you could go swimming, if it snows, you could go sledging, and well sex is also good. |

Have you tried jogging?
Round my way (don't know if it's national, but there are apps as well ) there are couch to five K courses, which lead to parkrun. Nice social run on a Saturday morning, it's a run not a race, you are trying to beat your previous time. My local one is two laps of the park and I'm happy if I don't get lapped.
But it doesn't matter what you do, as long as you do it.
Also Paul Mckenna - I can make you thin. Boils down to.
1) no forbidden fruit. Eat what you like. But...
2) only eat when you are hungry. Not when you're bored or miserable or because it's lunch time
3) pay attention. Chew your food, put your cutlery down between mouthfulls
4) stop when you're full.
You don't have to clear your plate. |

We have had good success with two outfits.
4 hour body, and the clit tapping thing sent our lass through the roof...lol
Rosemary Conley books and BUY the measures as they are CRITICAL. Why? Well when you see the amounts you will understand, and we have lost stones with both.

"I would make your GP the first point of call. Hopefully they can give you professional advice or directions to legit groups and check you are ok to start exercises etc."
You would think. My GP gave me a sheet of foods I should eat in a table format, foods I can eat daily, once a week, now and then and hardly ever. It looked like something they gave out in the 70s and wasn't anything I didn't know already. She recommended sitting on a chair and waving my arms in circles as exercise; she'd forgotten about my dodgy shoulder. |

It is about calorie restriction really to shed the pounds and portion control, to be around 1600kcal under maintenance of womens 2000kcal and stick to mostly protein and very little carbs, focus on chicken and rice and some vegetables. |

Keep a food diary and a daily calorie limit and stick to it. And walk everywhere you can. The food diary makes you stop and think 'do I need that bag of crisps because if I do I won't be able to have a yoghurt after tea?'. Or it does with me, although it has taken me two years to lose five stone. |

I did cereal breaky, salad or pasta dinner, and a 'normal' tea... just kept the portion size down a little and went swimming at local baths they did a lane swim session... worked for me, but the trick above all else is to find what works for YOU, there's plenty of good advice in previous posts... |
