I'm fairly new round here so maybe this has been endlessly discussed but hay ho. I guess I'm wanting to talk about etiquette. There seem to be a lot of people who are not happy to just get a wink. Thing is I think this is about excitement and personally I view the wink as, well, like getting the eye from someone. If you like the look, its a way to break the ice. If I wink back it's my way of saying yeah you look interesting/cute too. Then we start a chat afterwards and see where it leads. Anyone that gets the hump (no pun) its your problem, but I think a bit of a chase is part of the fun even if ultimately we're just here for the sex. We're not all seasoned at this and some can be shy to kick off with in any case. What do you reckon? |

personally i dont mind a wink, like you say it shows people have looked at your profile which is nice!!!
sometimes i dont reply to winks, but if followed later by a message then i will always reply even to say "thanks but no thanks" xx |

We don't mind winks...but looking at the winks we have received around 80% of them obviously havn't read our profile to see what we are looking for. We sometimes do wink back or message back to winks...but we always message back to a message if it is a "no thanks"

LOL, well hark at you two! I'm just saying I think it's quite a nice part of the process. I wouldn't expect a reply from everyone, but I think some people a are a bit uppity about it from reading the profiles. |

Well I can understant that a bit more. I think I'd at least check out a profile to see if someone is relevant first. |

Just a personal note from a fellow 'newbie', I prefer to take the bull by the horns (so to speak!) and message without winks. I get the feeling that the majority of ppl think winkers are not going to take things further? I may be wrong, so I've just put my tin-hat on ready for the flack..!  |

Can't see your hat in the pic! Seriously though I can see your point, but like I said earlier I think its part of the fun. I would generally follow up with a message once I'd read the profile properly and thought what to say. |
