Need opinions on this one please?
After sending an initial message to someone, is it considered rude/irritating/wrong thing to do; to message them again weeks later despite never having a reply?
Where do you stand on this?
Thanks

If its been read and deleted, then yes it would be rude - a no reply is a thanks but not interested.
If its unread, it may just have gotten swamped, but again exercise caution, and check when the person was online.
I tend to delete people that start to get pushy and message time and again. |

You have nothing to lose messaging again. If they don't like it and block you as a result then i guess they ain't interested
You never know they might just reply a second time. |

I don't think its rude, however if you know the initial message was read and not responded to then I would take it as a not interested and not message again. If it didn't get read then it maybe got lost amongst others so maybe worth a try. I certainly wouldn't rexommend messaging more than twice, it gets annoying for both parties then. |

Thank you very much .
Messages that have been read and deleted, I wouldn't revisit.
Unread messages however, worth another go then.
Appreciate the feedback

not at all - we have just cleared a lot of messages and found a reply to one of our original messages- replied saying they had fallen off the bottom of the page and all ok - |

We have found that when we post a meet or even post on the boards our messages triple, and since your profile only shows so many then some do get lost and go off the profile, I see no problem messaging them again after 2 weeks but only if they have not opened and read your first message, because if they have done that then just move on, they are not interested |

I read some good advice a few weeks ago. Update your profile and pics etc, keep it current. Not to make it look like you're a different person or anything... but so you can say "maybe you missed my message before, I've updated my profile, so maybe you'd like to take another look?" or something similar?
