So recently we gave in and joined Kik as it seems a few use it as a way to get chatting.
Being a little wary of it I don't plaster my details on my profile and when adding someone do have a little look at the actual profile.
So last night I added a local female was a little sceptical as she had been on for 6 months and there are no verification from meets nor for photos passed my details and the name "Sex God" came up wanting to chat, so now immediately on the back foot! Hardly what most girls would put lol. Then looking at the profile it is under a guys name
So I asked who this guy is and why she is on this account she or more likely he said it was her old boyfriends account and they split over 6 months back.
Has anyone else had bad experiences of fakes on here and Kik?
I did have to laugh when he/she got stroppy about being caught out  |

I use Kik as a way of getting to know someone before a meet. Luckily I haven't had an experience like yours. I think Kik is a great way to communicate without exchanging numbers. |

Yes I've had 2 add me claiming to be women but are guys everyone to there own deviant ways but that's abit too far
Only clocked on when they sent a pic id seen off a porn film so my lesson is watch more poem an don't get blagged |

No - I only have 4 people on mine as I'm very choosy - best way to be as it avoids getting into weird situations.
I have room for one more kik user - there's a 30 year old from Bracknel that looks very nice and un-wierd |

Kik is another way to chat without giving too much personal detail not like whatsapp which shows your mobile number.
Again like most people you get the simpleminded idiots which pretend to be women, couples, famous people and bright. However if they give you a Kik name you can always block them once you find out there not who they say they are.
Just have fun on it |

I like Kik...convenient way of chatting/sharing images etc it's a good concept & allows you to maintain privacy when your not quite sure who your speaking too. Did have one guy pretending to be a woman on there once but i had a laugh mocking him  |

It's ok and good for new contacts before exchanging numbers, but like everywhere you have to be cautious of fakes! If some of the fakes were just honest and say "I'd like to wank over some pics and share a fantasy without meeting" they may actually get what they want occasionally rather than lead people on! I'll shut up now |

We use kik to chat due to not having to give out our personal details. We actually had a guy want to chat to us on FB which put us ill at ease as it is has pictures of family and friends on there. We both have an account on kik so whoever can chat to us both. At least if we are both typing and replying at same time it will put person at ease that we are genuine. |

Kik is a good way of getting to chat to someone before you meet instead of having to constantly log onto fab.
But to answer your question, even I've had many "females" who were "straight and looking for men" that had no photos and kept asking for pics of girlfriends or fuck buddies.

I've had a few fake accounts.. I also ask them to send a pic of them doing something random eg touching theit nose or write something on paper (like photo verification on here) if they are real then they won't have any problem doing it. I don't have problems doing it xx |

We've had a few fakes and requesting these type of pics quickly makes them run for the hills |

I only ever give kik to a trusted fab meet...
Ive found it can be a pain...
Example if im on fab chatting and I get
message on kik and dont answer
Ive found then that the person who messaged on kik wants to know why im on fab and not chatting with them ....
Its a headache  |

We have kik and just lately have found we get random messages from people we've never spoke to and got one yesterday saying we could have a free iphone - mmmm really! Think will delete it. |

I like kik as you get an instant notification of a message whereas you can still remain anonymous and block if they turn into a stalker lol |

Kik is what it is just like fab but without the refresh button - loads of fakes and keyboard warriors but the odd genuine gem can be found and its a great way to chat - I like it just wish more women would chat to me lol |

I do this too. I've had a few that are supposed to be women go quiet after I've asked them to send a photo to prove they are real. We are both always happy to prove we are who we say we are. |

I do this too. I've had a few that are supposed to be women go quiet after I've asked them to send a photo to prove they are real. We are both always happy to prove we are who we say we are. "
