Why would you want to password your apps?? That would frustrate the hell out of me when opening a app it asked for a password each time. If it's updates you want to stop you can turn them off.

I use this feature for apps and galaries to avoid nosey people. Friends family sometimes use my phone to make calls.. but sometimes and i have caught them snooping on my phone. So i blocked certain apps. |

I asked something similar awhile back, as my nieces sometimes play with my phone - don't want them wandering into some of my Kik conversations!
No-one came up with a solution I'm afraid.There are plenty of "hidden" apps that have browsers and picture store functions - that might be the way to go for you |
