How ignorant of them, waiting until you got there to tell you, really rude. Did they give an excuse for not informing you about the cancellation in good time? |

2 hours each way or a 2 hour round trip? Either way, very rude of him/her/them (*delete as appropriate) without giving you a reason. Yes, things come up at the last minute but to give no reason is just rude. Report, block and move on, you're cute, you'll get plenty more offers I predict.  |

Did you let the person know that you were leaving?
Seems very last minute to cancel on you and a bit unfair as they must have known you were driving a long way

It is not nice to be put in a position like that. Into consideration the excuse also could be genuine which in that case one can't really to anything but to accept. On the other hand is difficult to think that there are people that create profiles and everything and at the last minute cancel because of ignorance of other people time. I had similar situation in the past and it was a nice ride by bus  |

Had this done to me once, a couple cancelled the meet soon after i arrived at the hotel. Was told to park right outside the room, which was on the ground floor facing the car park, was even asked to quickly peek through the window as they'd be in action. Did as i was told only to get a txt saying she'd changed her mind  . Was disappointed, but it was only in cardiff so wasn't too long a drive. We're still friends though and still chat. |

Only driven 2 hours for a meet once and I was 100% sure it wouldn't be cancelled. Home address of someone I'd known for a while, still wasn't worth it in the end.
Should have asked someone else to join me for a spa weekend |

Sorry to hear that happened OP, I guess its the chance you take sometimes. I only ever meet locally and meet for a social first usually in costa on my break when I'd be there anyway so its not a problem if people decide to no show or cancel. The only person I allow to waste my time is me!! |

I've travelled as far as Leeds for a meet. Thankfully it was worth it. It's best to try and build up a rapport and get to know someone first before travelling so far. |

I had more cancelled meets in the last 2 weeks than I have since being on fabs.

I agree. To me if a person travels far just for sex, that shows how desperate they are. Surely they have women in their home home. Or save the enormous petrol cost and hire a hooker. Probably a lot cheaper Lol |

Had it happen to me when I 1st joined arranged to meet a couple in Burnley was halfway there when got a message saying not meeting single guys anymore yet mailed them when I was leaving and they told me they were looking forward to meeting |

Very common: happened to me twice in early days, until I realized that before meeting anyone, you must have spoken to them, and seen them on cam, ( especially the female) and never allow the old trick of " go to xx place, and then we'll give you directions". |

I've only had this once off this site
it's a heart warming story though
went to meet a guy in Birmingham I got the train and waiting at the agreed meeting place, waited about 10 mins then got a text message saying
change of plan i can no longer meet you, I've had an offer from a woman I've been talking to and tonight's the only night she's free so I'm meeting her instead are you free tomorrow (yes he really did say that)
got to give him 10 out of 10 for his honesty he could have said his nans cat has died
so I got the train home
been in the house about 20 mins when he text me asking if I was free to meet still as she hadn't turned up then called her a time waster
I'm not going to lie I got a weird smug sense of satisfaction from that |

Has happened me a few times,waiting at meeting point still in communication then nothing,I do feel that most cancelled meets are probably cold feet rather than a deliberate piss off. |

Had this happen to me with a couple, drove to near their house, parked up and called as agreed. No answer followed by a text saying that the female half of the couple had got cold feet due to her dad dying the day before (Would have thought that might have been mentioned in the numerous texts and emails we'd exchanged prior)!
They looked and sounded like a great couple as well, verified, experienced, etc. Later that day unlos.....as the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it normally is! |
