1. Yes. I'm as honest as i need to be but no one on here is getting my life story. They don't need to know everything about me. Is that still being honest?
2. I don't really understand the question. I write my profile with a _iew to attracting the sort of person that is happy with the way i do things (when I'm meeting). Not sure how it could backfire.
3. I see no reason why honesty and sex aren't compatible, but i refer you to myb first point. I don't need to know everything about a person when I'm meeting them.

In answering this thread - why not add stories of where this might have backfired - as an example (sorry to bore those that know me)
Serious example - true
Women chatted to me for ages, we exchanged face and other pics, we agreed to meet, I got there she was 100% not the person in pics, she was horrid and smelly - I walked away (there is more but that will do)
Funny example - true
After what seemed months of chatting I arranged to met a nice women - lovely voice on phone, looked dead sweet and nice person - we arranged to meet near a restaurant and park at side of the road - I was there first, "she" pulled up behind me, "she" got out and walked to my car, sat down and looked at me and in deep voice said "hello my real name in Mark" - true storey

Yeah, i know what i want and i enjoy getting it with other people who are into the same as me. My pics are recent so people know what they're getting too.

Sex is fairly intimate, no matter how NSA you keep it. There should be no lies, so make it clear what you want and what you don't want (could go back to question 2 here). If you have to lie to get a fuck then you don't deserve a fuck, imo.

I've had the same stunt pulled on me.
Had some photos sent over of a lovely, busty woman sent to me and I was literally drooling. Drove the best part of an hour and I swear I thought my Tomtom was faulty. It took me to the roughest looking estate I've ever been in. I was driving a company car at the time and stood out like a sore thumb. People must have thought I was CID or something
To cut a long story short she opened the door and there was kids running around, a disabled mother in the living room and they were all staring at me.. the kids were howling laughing pointing at me and the "lady" I'd went to meet was a complete scruff

A thread that appeared yesterday (I wont say which one)suggested that people that were as "genuine" and honest as him didn't get meets.
He got all kinds of helpful advice from people including me...
...and then proceeded to copy sections of my profile text.

Given that this thread is about honesty... To my eternal shame I did
It was one of my first meets, I was already in the house and I was absolutely shitting myself. The whole family were pointing, screaming, laughing.. It was like a scene from a horror movie but I didn't wake up.
When we got upstairs into her room I was glad to be out of the way until she walked in and bolted. the. fucking. door! I just closed my eyes and got on with it as fast as I could.
When I got back to my car I was shaking like a shitting dog and got the hell out of there  |

We are 100% genuine and honest, why lie? We had a meet once from here, his pics showed him to be a well endowed guy (he also claimed to be 10"), he got here and he had a tiddler, he was about 5" and Was not the cock on his profile, so yeh, be truthful and save embarrassment. |

Exactly. It's like rent-a-quote reading some profiles on here.
I find the ones who post on the forum complaining about lack of meets the funniest.
Often you'll read the profile which proclaims "an honest, down to earth easy going guy" who very quickly starts abusing people as soon as he hears something he doesn't like |

I'd really welcome that.
Earlier in the year, in a HElp-me-with-my-profile thread, a guy copied my entire profile from top to toe...
I politely pointed out what he'd done asking him to delete and use his own brain, and he declared in the forum he wanted to keep it for 24 hours ...
Needless to say he was flamed by the rest of the thread participants and finally deleted it 6 hours later...
I believe he described himself as "genuine" too |

I detest lies and don't see the point especially on profiles as when you do meet you will likely be found out; and that will ruin the meet for all concerned.
However writing a profile reminds me of what I was once told to do when writing a CV. Profiles (and CVs) should always be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the best bits! |
