"What's the best way to respond to this from a perfect stranger? Do they not realize how creepy it is to say that? "
Yes I believe they do either block immediately or reply with "oh, did you? we thought it was you". |

Just tell them you haven't left the house for three years and that was your mad twin sister. |

Tell him it's creepy, i have done previously.
Said something along the lines of 'thanks, as i don't have any idea who you are i wouldn't confirm if that was me or not, i also find it a bit creepy that you told me this'.
Doesn't bother me if it was someone i've been chatting to already though. |

Even if you recognise someone from fab, dobt tell them. There is a woman in another department a work that I know is on here with here husband. They have face pics on their profile. Would I like to play with them - yes! I wouldn't dream of saying to them that I recognised the female from work. |

Saw a lady I know from work, I almost made her delete he profile when I mentioned that I know her but managed to calm her. Excitement just got the better of me. It's all good now we just pass each other. Always reading her updates on the local. Next time if I recognize someone I will never let them know I know them. Experience taught me. |

I had a message the other day from someone claiming they used to work with me. Knew my name and also enough details about me that they worked out who I am from my profile text (didn't have face pics up). They wouldn't tell me who they were though. Even mentioned my nickname which got me really weirded out. Anyway, after a lot of persuasion I found out is a married dad of three I used to work with five years ago! I still have his wife on Facebook and he is using his sons name on here .... |
