One of our fantasies is to have our private porn movie professionally recorded. Do you know guys were to go and how much could it cost? We found one company in London but the quality is just rubbish. Any help? |

To be honest you would be better off spending the money on 2 camcorders and tripods and doing it yourself . There are loads of editing packages on the web which don't take long to get the hang of , plus you will have much more fun making your own .
We do this and we produce really good movies for ourselves |

As we come from film industry we are having a truck of film equipment already, and yes we did our own films before, but the camera on tripod is not sort of film we are looking for in fact we can use our lighting and camera rigs if there is somebody capable to use it;) |

So do you just need camera ops an poss a director, or are you looking for location as well?

We would prefer to have a "full production";) Providing equipment may lead to having unskilled operator or a dreamer lol which is fine for a role play but not necessarily for what we would like to get. We can use of course our equipment for somebody's else video and then we can act as a professional and skilled film crew. But for this "project" we would love to be just "porn stars" lol. For business and personal reason we can't really ask our friends from film industry to do it for us. |

Hi,
The porn industry is unattached from the rest of media production.
Hence it could be difficult to find someone to cover the full production. Unless they was an actual agency. Due to porn being a dark sector the directors and operators are usually the cast-offs from poor technical colleges, hence there being a large difference between the quality of different films. Hence generally to get it as good as you want it and economically I'd suggest renting the equipment from a vendor, the rigs are easy to set up, the cameras even easier to use hence no need for the media drop outs use your friends or even the dreamers. You be the director and plan every shot. Make the day of it and have fun.
Post production don't go for a sleezy cheap software, pay a little to have it edited how you want, professionally there seriously is some brilliant freelance editors.
And then you've got to come back and tell us all how it went |

to find a professional You need to sort out what style you wish your "movie" to be in,
Porn is classed mainly in three sections
"Terrible story line"
"Art"
"shock"
A professional will identify what you want the final production to be and from there work out the cost,they wont just jump straight in with an offer
Probs the best way to put this out would be looking for someone capable of filming in the cinematic style of (for example) Stanley Kubrick "cat woman" scene from a "clockwork orange" but without the "violence" yet plenty of the "in and out"
