You've asked a personal opinion question and sweeping generalisation question together.

Nice way to make it completely pointless

I would class myself as pretty intelligent with 5 degrees, but guys have never sent me a message saying "hi, fancy a fuck but only if you know the underlying factors that led to the nazi party gaining popularity and eventually control in Germany".

I do think most guys do expect you to be able to hold a conversation though x

I like to be able to have a conversation yes and can talk the hind legs off a donkey ,five degrees is some achievement you must be very intelligent or at the very least have a photographic memory ,my daughter's boyfriend ex got two degrees in politics and mathematics both 2:1s but he was a wet blanket he analysed everything criticised everything and argued about everything ,he couldn't hold a conversation and so glad he's ex hugs

May I say ....very impressive indeed , not just about being intelligent ( tho you most certainly must be to achieve 5 degrees) but I'm impressed from your obvious commitment to your education and to see "it" through , as getting one degree is no easy feat....but 5 is amazing dedication.

Thanks guys, I was just fortunate enough to be able to do my undergrad ones quickly so had time to do a couple of masters degrees on top. It takes dedication, but mainly just really good teachers x

My son has just started uni and hope he shows the same dedication and not get "distracted" by other aspects of life.

Personally, I think as far as casual sex goes, men think with the thing between their legs and if they find the female attractive, her intelligence is an afterthought.

However, when choosing someone to settle down with, there has to be more there than just a pretty face, great tits or lovely arse.

One of the things I find most attractive about my wife is her intelligence; I'm just lucky she's fit as well.

I'd be interested to flip the question around and ask the ladies out there how important they think intelligence is in a man...

I much prefer intelligence to lack of, in both men and women.

And there was me feeling smug about my measly 'one' degree. Well done.

I think it's nice to be able to have an interesting conversation and share some banter with everyone we meet .

What isn't so good is pompous , know it alls who try to hijack every part of a chat .

Be that men or women .

And to be honest we don't do this to indulge in intelligent conversation . Is all about the sex for us

Are you lot having a laugh,?..

since when has a a decision to F*ck been made on how educated you are .

Don't all swingers including wannabe single people who aren't really swingers according to the afficianados , just have sex because they're like it with whoever agrees ?

Going to get my tongue out of my cheek now as I have my lunch to eat

I left school at 16 with 3 pretty meaningless O'levels. I did OK! I'm afraid, other than dedication to institutionalised learning a degree just says that someone is educated, not intelligent. There's a significant difference.

An interesting one. As someone has already said, sex for a one off is probably more physical attraction (or maybe desperation!) and more of a connection in the longer term.

However, for me the thought of an educated / intelligent woman, who will probably have a professional job, work hard, behave in a certain way, putting that all to one side to be down right naughty and dirty is a huge turn on

Excite me! I'm not gonna be an intellectual snob or anything. I look for people who have something about them, and if that thing is between their ears, then I'm happy.

Consider the racist connotations of your statement Mark. I am sure you meant no offence and it may be a phrase that your parents used meaning a bit wet behind the ears, but just think about it.

There is a difference between allowed and a right to them.

I for one will be contacting my MP. And the Daily Mail.

Always prefer people who can at least offer a decent conversation, and I'm very attracted to people who can teach me new things, in and out of the bedroom, so intelligence or knowledge are crucial

We always prefer someone who can at least converse well. We are also impressed by people who when contacting us can show they can use correct diction and spelling (we hate txt spk). Just a preference. Its difficult enough drawing conclusions online so every little helps.
