"y can we not name and shame time wasters it would be a better site win out all them "
beacuse its your word against theirs and so is open to abuse by someone with an axe to grind
for example - I have just decided you are fakes and timewasters - therefore you must be named and shamed for it
see my point?

Probably because you’d more than likely end up named and shamed yourself from someone who doesn’t like being declined, or if you ignored/deleted their messages without replying.
You only have to read the forums to see why it would never work. |

If we were allowed to name and shame, we'd have to name and shame you because you arranged to meet us last week and when we turned up you wern't there and you switched off your phone so we couldn't contact you !! |

I agree it would be as long as a friends list...Also if a guy said no to a couple ..he might be named and shamed, but most people would assume it was the guy who was the time-waster. and not sour grapes |

I think naming and shaming should be allowed but on when it comes to social events. If someone has gone to all that hard work to arrange a social event or any event for that matter. They do not turn up! then think there name should be shown as non attendants. This not aimed oneoneon this site, but I think a line needs to be drawn as to what people can get away with and what they carnt. |

Because everyone has their own ideas of what time wasters are
some would name and shame you for mailing them and not wanting to meet
some would name and shame you for meeting them and not wanting to play
some would name and shame you because you cancelled a meet because your kid was taken into hospital, cause we all know noone on here has a life so that would obviously be a lie
its so hard to say who and whats a true time waster its best to just ignor it and move on |

But if someone suddenly is unable to attend an event why should they have a finger pointed at them ?
They may have a perfectly good reason for not attending.
On the other hand we'll say that they did attend but for one reason or the other didn't quite 'make the grade' - should they also be named and shamed ?
If naming and shaming is to be allowed it has to be across the board and not just for certain criteria that suits some people / situations - clearly of course this would never work so the best rule to apply, is the current rule which is already in place - 'No naming and shaming is allowed'
Much simpler and much easier to control |

....what if you were told that after making arrangements that involved baby-sitters etc, that a couple could not meet you after all because one of them is unwell
That`s acceptable, but when you see on their profile someone then left them feedback for a wonderful night????
Then they post that they are fed up with timewasters!!!!!
Yes, we moved on, but can`t wait for the day that they contact us again when they are at a loose end!! |

Because all the times we have talked and you promise to show up... Bang nothing! You have lead me up the garden path on so many occasions now! The ultimate timewasters! So I am going to report you!
I just want to say for the record the above is not true, but do you see why name and shame doesn't work... It's my word against yours! |

What she says ^^^^
Plus, the way chat is going if a female says Hi to a guy and then says not interested then they are a time waster......

We have all turned down a meet as it's not felt right, gut instinct does that make you a timewaster, no. Anyone as the right to change their minds even in swinging |

what exactly is a timewaster...
if someone turned up at the arranged destination and then changed his/her/their mind and left.. are they one?
does an insertion of a penis/finger/tongue into a vagina/mouth/ass qualify you as genuine.
from the first contact... to the sexual act taking place... when does timewasterness/tendancies kick in?
and how do we guarantee all members agreeing the final definition and then adhering to it... before naming and shaming happens. |

I've spent all day, on and off, chatting to a new guy, we discussed meeting, he cant do the weekend except evenings as he happens to be married which to me makes him a timewaster (it does say on my profile i wont help them cheat) but he might think im a timewaster because i wont meet him, get it |

Are you avin a larf! More often than not 2 sides to every story.....not always easy on here to distinguish between the fakes and the gen..... You could very easily end up being named and shamed.......
Move on to your next victims and chalk the others down to experience. Lifes to short to worry....youre not the first and won't be the last to be let down..... |

No i dont agree with that at all. People have various reasons for turning up, they may not be a decent excuse but it wont stop a party going ahead will it?? I mean if 30 people are invited and 5 dont turn up, the party wont get cancelled will it |

I had been called a time waster because I sent an unsolicited message to a gent to say thank you for being an eye candy to the ladies on FAB after seeing his pic in the gallery of newly uploaded pics.
Only his pics looked good, the rest of the profile was to be desired, i.e. minimal information, and I was not planning to meet him on a 1-1 basis.
He messaged back and asked if I would like to meet, and I said no. He asked why I messaged him in the first place, and I replied just to congratulate him for having a good body/pics etc...
And he called me a time waster for wasting his time to message me!
Talk about being ungrateful!!!
For a short period of time after that incident, I stopped sending messages to hot hunks to say how much I enjoyed their pics, in case I get similar responses back!
Then I thought, sod it, why the hell not, as nothing ventured nothing gained, and they may turn out to be nice, decent gentlemen!
One bad egg does not make all the other eggs bad afterall!

if people arrange meets and dont turn up there is the option to report that profile to admin . i think thats enough to flag up the repeat offenders and save genuine ppl having name smeared in public because they may have got someones back up . |

Its not hard to see why. Someone could say 'you area time waster' and it might be all lies but you have people thinking it may be true. In reality people would abuse it. |

and do you think the site will block them? cos they dont turn up? This swing malarky is not the same as buying a goods or service now is it? You dont have the right to a refund of your time or energy, i highly dout that the owners of this site would do anything with such abuse reports after all what consenting adults do or dont do is their own business, this is not school and owner of the site is not the headmaster . |

I do find it strange that people seem to encounter a lot of "timewasters". In three years I've never arranged a meet and the person hasn't turned up.
I've had people cancel, I've had conversations peter out - but I don't class that as timewasting.
If meet after meet the person didn't turn up I'd begin to question what I was doing wrong! |

Same here Sassy! Apart from the three years bit. I've had cancellations, but as long as I'm told in plenty of time I don't tend to mind. I can be disappointed that pleasure is not being given, but thats all. People have very complicated lives and its impossible for everything to run like clockwork all of the time so I put it down to sod's law, and wouldn't class them as timewasters. People who arrange a meet then just don't turn up I'd certainly class in that bracket! But I'm fortunate enough not to have met any of them yet as well. Although I acknowledge that they must exist because of all the beef thats spread around in here.... |

two sides to every story.
and maybe they just didnt like you and felt it best not to say so.
start naming and shaming and people will be sorting each other out at socials when they have had a drink.
move on be an adult and just block them! |
