Op, you're entitled to your own viewpoint but much in the world isn't binary, in the way that your very simple attitude says.
We are all entitled to define our own gender, as well as to determine our own sexual orientation. Whatever people may have tried in their past, doesn't define them today either. It's feasible to have experimented and come to the realisation that some things just aren't for you. Sexual orientation has also been appreciated as changing over time, such as with women who've been married and latterly realising that they're pretty much lesbian. Some people won't vary, others do, and as long as it's right for each of us, then it shouldn't matter to others.
Gender isn't as binary as a simple minded approach might like. Unless someone is a world leading expert in understanding the human mind as Psychologist as well as gender and sexuality, then the rest of us just probably don't get others that well. And the likely best place for us is to start learning, rather than trying to cram others into little boxes. Perhaps the op could enlighten us with the sources of literature and experts that he's studied. |

As a transitioning m to f , it is nice to get a bit of support.
It is very hard, and your whole life changes, family ,etc. what we do not need is Idiots and bigots making it any harder. I personally have gay, lesbian, and straight friends (Who are happy to invite me round to spend time with them and their children).
I welcome all folk to my hosted events, and we have a real good time , lots of laughter and banter.
There are a few trolls that set up seemingly innocent posts but are designed to get transphobic comments onto the site.
And no, I am not being over sensative or insane, but when faced with bigotory and hatred, I will fight back, as would any person. My life is not a joke, it is me.

I didn't say it shouldn't matter to someone personally but calling someone trolls and homophobic because they are saying what they think isn't the way to get your point across.
On another site we are on there was a woman there who started a question and answer thread about her transition and answered every post with utmost honesty and even answered the "sneering" posters. It was the most informative thread I have ever read and even the "sneering" people came back and apologised at the end

In the end it's only labels, who really cares.
Gender and sexuality are far from binary and the subtleties are very personal, so much so much so that unless you've experienced them or have close contact with someone who has been through it, it's very unlikely you'll have the slightest clue about it. |
