Aye I certainly have a few!
Surprisingly turns some woman off,
But if they're good can't beat them! Love a woman that has some ink and isn't afraid to show it! |

i have 2 large tattoo's
in my opinion they are an eye sore, if they were hung in a gallery nobody would say 'wow what a work of art' yet if these drawings are on our body they become cool and works of art.
drawings on your body, thats all they are |

Why get them if that's what you think of them? |

I love tattoos on others if they are well done not amature poor quality. I don't have any myself but I love to spend hours tracing the patternd with my fingers . The whole tattooed body works for me but I have unusual and eclectic tastes. |

"i got them a long long time ago, now i wish i had not, too late now, as nice as some tattoo's are, they are merely drawings on your body."
I see. No different to a drawing on a piece of paper though. Art in a gallery can still be bollocks |

I've tattooed myself & I have to say, it's much much more harder and involves much more talent than drawing on a piece of paper! But I love all forms of art! |

"Absolutely... Well not all. Depends what and on who. Not everyone who has tattoos suit them and some are very very poorly done! "
Totally agree, I'm not fond on badly done tattoos!
But badly done tattoos can always change into good tattoos! |

I suppose it's personal taste. Art means different things to different people. It depends what the intention was in the design I've rarely seen well done tattoos I dislike unless I find the message offensive |

This is true. Mine were horrific when first done. Got them done by an apprentice for cheap. A lot of money and hours later and they're pretty good now! |

Anyone who has a tatt on their foot automatically earns my total respect
I've got one on my side - and that hurt like a cnut!! Jumped nearly a foot when the needle first hit.. the tattooist shouted at me oopsie. Also said it was the first time he'd tried working on a twitching jelly.
Chest piece was no problem at all tho..
OP, your back piece looks amazing
Can't quite make out your sleeve tho (small screen here)
God.. I need to win the lottery now and get some more ink time |

I'm booked in the beggining of next month for 8 hours, I get so excited when it comes to tattoo days!
I have both sleeves ones day of the dead themed, & the others a lee bemejo batman sleeve, but it's a dark sleeve, I also have my chest done, & some on my legs, hoping to get my image of hell on my back soon, real excited! |

Have seen some that look fantastic pieces of art, but no tattoo had ever made me think the person looks better with it than they did au natural...and it isn't a turn on for us in its own right
Each to their own tho |

Don`t mind discreet ones on ladies and I can appreciate the work that goes into the more intricate ones. I don`t like full sleeve ones on either sex and face ones are a no-no for me. I know of one guy local to me who has most of his face done and he looks a total wally! |

They can look great on some people, naff on others (in my humble opinion).
But as long as the person who has them likes them and are happy with them then it's all good
As I often say on tattoo threads, it's the permanency of them that deters me - fads come and go (look at the whole beards thing) and what might look great now or while you're young might not be such a great idea in a few years time.
I wonder what percentage of people in 10 or 20 years time will regret covering most of their bodies in tattoos? When people get bored of or dislike their beards, they can always shave them off again, not so simple with lots of large tattoos...
Hopefully that percentage regretting them in a decade or two will be small .
Anyway live for now and if you like them, fill your boots! |

At London Tattoo convention at the weekend I saw a girl getting the bottom of her feet tattoo'd. That was one brave lady! Just the thought of it makes my toes curl!
I love my tattoos. Some have a story, some I just like. All are original pieces of art work though.
And some of mine could be drawings on a wall and considered art. Especially the water colour piece I have on my arm.

Love good ones, hate shit ones. A few of mine I want to get covered because I feel like I've got too many wee ones & I look like a kid's used me as a human sticker book.
I'll never understand people that enjoy getting them done though, although after my nipples I think whatever I get next will be a walk in the park |

I absolutely adore getting inked. The noise, the smell, the black rubber gloves, the pain. I have a 12" dragon down my spine and I fell asleep having that done. |

Quality, not quantity
If they're personal to someone, they're much more special, I had my first one done a couple of months back (mid life crisis?) and thought long and hard(!) about what I wanted, before coming up with a design that meant something to me specifically
If someone has loads of generic bog standard ones, it's a bit of a turnoff, but a few well thought out ones... Very nice! |

I hate literally all of those things! It's worth it though. |

I prefer larger pieces than small individual ones dotted around.
I do have 2 small ones. Considering laser removal
One larger piece that started as a cover up and has grown |

and a tattoo of a skull on someone's head freaks me out somewhat! |

Yes, good ones are very erotic on a nude body. We both have a few. Rose loves her wild rose high on her bum, she was once recognized from it at swingfields by a man who had seen our pics. Many people we see in swinger clubs have tattoos. Sadly you occasionally meet people who have outdated ideas about them, thinking people with tats are bikers, ex-prisoners etc. |

"as tattoo's they may be cool
as a stand alone work of art and not attached to a body, they are not art
as said people see things differently "
Yeah, a straightforward tattoo design is probably not art in the same way as t-shirt design is not art. However some artists such as Kamil, Little Swastika and Beuna Vista Tattoo Club ARE artists and the work the produce is art. Genuinely beautiful works that would be hard to reproduce on canvas or any other medium. |

Very much a turn on but not all, face tattoos and their like just like dreadful
Amy schumer to Mike Tyson
"Mike you've got a slutty back tattoo on your face, guys don't know whether to punch it or cum on it"
But the right tattoo in the right place on the right person is very much a sexy thing
