We started swinging three years ago - for the first year we were soft swingers and had a great time. There was no problem in finding partners in the clubs - both couples and single guys and girls were more than happy to join us. The first "hard" swing wasn't terribly successful, but after that we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Correspondingly we would have no problems soft swinging again if that is what our playmates prefered - we wouldn't feel cheated in any way. |

In our humble opinion, it's one of those things where there is no right or wrong, there are people who are happy with soft swap only, people happy with full swap only and those (like us) who do whatever feels comfortable at the time..

This subject has become more complicated for us than we thought.
At first we were soft swing only so that felt quite clear. We probably would flag it quite early with people to avoid confusion. It seems a bit harsh though for anyone to complain that such a declaration came too late. Wouldn't all parties be responsible for a lack of communication?
That kind of brings me on to the subtlety. When people (especially couples) specifiy that they are only after full swap it raises an interesting debate about what that means. For us it raises the concern that there's a pressure to commit to something from the start. We've played with couples and enjoyed the preamble but not wanted to continue onto full swap. Isn't that a normal reaction? Sometimes the attraction or interest wanes. Sometimes people just aren't your thing or don't really do what you like. In those instances I'm not sure how it really helps establishing that full swap is an option as it doesn't change the fact that only soft swing is the final result. Surely no one sees it through to full swap just because they said they will on their profile?
For us it's a requirement that just seems to apply an unwelcome pressure whereas taking any encounter only as far as is pleasurable seems a nicer prospect. Is that just too woolly an answer?

We only soft swap, we make it clear in our profile, and in discussion. We doubt they stance will change. We simply enjoy the appeal of same room frolics

Any doubts at all then don't do it would be our advice. We were both ready to try the first time but it wasn't a great experience for either of us.
