We have done this before now, but we make it clear (I think) that our age range is only a guide. We're only human afterall, and sometimes find something attractive in someone that maybe outside our normal age/size/distance range... |

I've had this a few times. You email someone within the age range mentioned on their profile, and they say 'you are too old'. Why the foook have it on the profile |

I think there's a difference between someone looking at your profile and them sending you a wink.
For example, I just looked at your profile after seeing your initial post, but after realising that a) I'm not within your specified age range, and b) I'm a long way away from you, I didn't then send you a wink.
I look at people's profiles all the time - partly cause I'm so bleedin' forgetful that I have to remind myself who is who. |

I forgot to say that I love the feature in the New Search where I can specify that I must be in the target age range of people... that's such a good feature.
Maybe once the New Search is the default one, people messaging someone despite being outside their age range will become less of an issue. |

What does it matter?
This is a swinging site, a leisure site, a passtime , a fun place , a sex contact facility.
It is NOT my tax return or a job application.
My tastes change like the wind. What I want one day isn't what I want the next.
Imagine me thinking .......God he's hot but i'd better not contact him cos I would be in breach of my stated age preferences.
Ridiculous.

I completely agree with Granny - when we first wrote our profile we were indeed different swingers to what we are today. In the beginning we were playing with couples the same age as us - mid to late 40s. Thats still essentially the case, but we have had meets with younger men. We like variety, we enjoy trying out exciting stuff, one minute we will be into younger men, the next we will be living out blindfold fantasies, who knows what the next couple of months will bring. I dont keep going back and changing the profile, so thats why in our case |

Christ! Reported for lying about their age? Harsh but fair I guess.. but please don't report my Gran, she's been lying about her age for the last 30 years, so if you're going to get the Bizzies on her at least have the decency to give her a headstart - her plastic hip wasn't built for speed.. |

"That's interesting. Reported for what ?

And here's a tip-off, apparently there's a few people describing themselves as "slim/athletic" on here when they are sooooooo not. Remember, you didn't hear it from us though.. |

age range for us is a guide. Some people look young for their age like moi. Ive looked at some profiles similar age range to us bt they look 10years older than their stated age! Al im guna say is some people on here must a had big paper rounds lol. Yet some couples 10years out of our bracked look fab. So age looks and personality al come into it we think x |

That's an interesting point... I've always assumed that what people have put in their profiles is what they're currently looking for. There have been times when I've considered contacting someone because I've been attracted to them, but haven't done so because I'm not in their specified age range or they say they're not looking for single males, etc...
I've seen plenty of posts from people saying they get messages from unsuitable people, and have seen profiles which complain of people not reading the users' descriptions and still contacting the person(s) in question.
Maybe I should contact those people I liked the look of but I didn't match their criteria, in case their goalposts have moved since they wrote their profile. |

I was thinking the same thing: it's a bloody minefield!
I agree out taste change: I didn't meet bi men because I didn't think they had the "fear factor" that's a major turn on for me. I've been proved wrong and my profile now reflects that.
I feel really sorry for single blokes, and it's mainly single blokes, the poor bastards keep having the goal posts moved on them. One one thread you'll have couples and single women moaning about profiles not being read, not respecting preferences, now some of you are saying it's only a guide, it depends if it's a Harvest moon, it depends if you're in a good mood after a win on the gee gee's at Uttoxeter...how are they supposed to flipping know if you don't?!!
Nowt...as...queer...as...folk!!! |

I sometimes pop over and view profiles that dont come in my age range because i have seen a forum post by them but i would never wink at anyone outside my age preference nor request friendship. I dont accept random requests from anyone and just delete them |
