Hi fabbers,

Anybody near Newcastle or Dublin, helping to arrange a hen night and we have whittled it down to Newcastle or Dublin for a long weekend. Just wondering which has more to offer, any local advice would be appreciated

You'll need a coat in Dublin.

Agree. Newcastle all the way. They don't charge the locals less for drinks than the tourists.

Plus there are loads of stags and hens out and having a great time.

Shame I am working that weekend.

Dublin is ridiculously expensive.

There's better, and cheaper, cities over here.

Galway or Limerick city are fantastic. Airport is very close to Limerick.

The shorts and Ibiza top will blend in well! You'll have a great time!

Great craic in the 'toon' plus ever so friendly especially with a few drinkies!

Enjoy x

Belfast's Cathedral Quarter is great craic. Street and side lanes full of bars. Had a ball last time I was there. Few hotels near try hotels.com which for me worked out cheaper than booking with hotel directly. And very near airport.

Dublin put there price up for tourists during the evening so they can gain more money so if you don't mind an expensive hen due then go there but if your looking just to have fun and a night out then keep to Newcastle

Can't comment on Dublin as have never been.

Newcastle is a city I love, having spent many a great night out there. Including my dusters hen night... A fantastic night was had by all.

Have you seen what the £:€ exchange rate is lately, while Ireland may be more expensive you'll have more money to play with. But agree with Boldgirl, there are far cheaper and just as lively Irish destinations as Dublin.
