Is it rude if you actually agree to a meet with someone who does not have a picture on their profile, or declines to provide one; to turn them away from your doorstep if you don't like the look of them, when they arrive? |

Would never meet without seeing a pic first, and would never invite to my home until I had met them for a social elsewhere to make sure that they did look like their pic, that I actually fancied them in person and felt safe with them. I would feel something is dodgy if they refuse to send a pic! |

No it's perfectly normal to play with someones confidence and self asteem in such a callous inconsiderate way, I mean why wouldn't it be,
Initial social could work, showing a modicum of respect would be much more effective though,

I think it's a risk a person takes if they don't provide a pboto. If a man doesn't provide a photo many people will say it's because he thinks you won't meet him if he does and he's hoping that when he arrives the person will think "oh he's here any way I might as well" I suspect if it's a woman the responses would be different.
Either way I think the kindest thing would be to invite them in, offer a drink and explain but only if you felt safe to do so people don't always take rejection well.
In short in a normal situation turning a guest away is rude, in a fab situation not necessarily.
Meet in a pub in future. |

Well if they refuse to share a pic then that would start our alarm bells going straight away. |

If you have to ask a simple question like that then you are definately not for us.
Of course it is rude.
If you have invited someone to your house you could at least ask them in for a coffee/tea and explain that on meeting you are not attracted to then.
Basic good manners. |

"I'm for a thrill but there are limits. A photo is no guarantee its the person you are talking to, meet in a public place every time for me. "
. A neutral social first, ensure all are happy, then on to the fun later (either straight from the coffee or another time). Too awkward if you're stuck with someone you don't fancy but they're there in your house (or vice versa) with an expectation of play!
I never expect any of my meets to commit without a social so they have a legitimate 'escape' route |

If they haven't / will not provide o face pic id say they have something to hide and /or very
unlikely to turn up as they are probably just time wasters. But why in on earth would you want to meet someone without seeing if your remotely attracted to them first ? |

"I don't think its rude. If I couldn't see a pic for a pretty good reason and met blind and he was fuck ugly I'd tell him I weren't interested. "
Totally agreed but with politeness and compassion, giving them the full on you scare my mirror routine on the doorstep is a definite no |

I think its quite rude to expect people to meet without having the courtesy of sending a face pic. If someone doesn't wish to send one then that's fine but its where contact ceases for me. |

Very true. That's why we only do club meets. |

^ This. I would stop messaging if they refused to share a face pic before meeting. |

I think the answer to the original question would be that it's rude. You could have asked for a proper pic earlier. HOWEVER, if you don't think you would gel, ask them in for a social chat or take them to a cafe/pub for a drink . You might even find that they have something about them that sexually intrigues you after all. |

I don't think it's rude...Some people enjoy the challenge to their senses. And in one case the female wore a mask so she couldn't see who was playing on her body.Equally of course it's your prerogative to turn down anybody for any reason. But not after they've travelled to meet on your invit. |

The way I see it is that no one is compelled to have sex with anyone they don't want to whether they have seen a face pic before meeting, had a social meet or just turned up for a private meet at a persons home. If you're not happy to go ahead with something then so what if others think its rude, your body, your life, your time, do with it what you want, you don't sign a binding contract to have sex before you meet! |

So somebody has travelled at our invitation and I have to fuck them? I can't turn them down for any reason? |

If the person's face is important to you then arranging a blind meet is not wise. If you said to your blind meet you may turn them away if they aren't attractive enough for you they have themselves to blame. The game of risk doesn't always end well. |

Sorry if I gave the impression that a fuck was essential. What I meant was that I think it would be rude to turn them away. MAybe even without an explanation: at least they would learn from the error of their ways and ask if you wanted a pic next time. If they had refused to send a pic after I'd asked I wouldn't arrange a meet in the first place. |

Not something we would do. When we've met people that haven't been for us (even when we've exchanged pics) we have always had a drink & chat but been upfront about it not going any further. |

It sort of is rude, because you're agreeing to meet without seeing pics and this gives off the impression you don't care about looks.
But otherwise it really isn't rude to turn down anyone for any reason at all, or no reason if you feel like that. Sex is an intimate act, your body belongs to you, and if you don't want to share it with anyone then you don't have to.
I've had a few blind dates when the chat has been really good and i never realised i hadn't seen the persons face, luckily i fancied them when they turned up. |

For the thrill? "
I've had a blind first meet before, although in a pub. It does add a certain something.... |
