I once cancelled a meet due to an emergency and got so much abused by the couple however when a couple of couples cancelled their meets and I expressed my previous experience of abuse, they said it's ok for couples to cancel but not for single guys! I mean WTF! |

Of course it's ok for a single guy to cancel! Why should it only be ok for a couple to cancel?
I used to see someone who often had his kids dumped on him by his ex wife and was generally very awkward if he said he was going out so he cancelled a fair few times, I didn't give him hell for it, because sometimes thing come up.
I'd say they were just joking with you, and anyone who gives you abuse, you report, block and move on. Sounds like the abusers were throwing toys out the pram. |

I think maybe because it is harder, logistically, for a couple to arrange a meet (Time, Childcare, also both agreeing on male) Than it is for a single guy to turn up. |

Think we all have let people down its the secret life we have from our friends and family When things crop up like us we live near the coast Bank holiday weekend we have friends that are a bigger nuisance than the seagulls saying they were just passing thought we would call and see you want free B and B for the night |

Single often means you have more responsibilities. Before being with Mr I had sole responsibility of three children, job - twelve hours plus a day, plus all the errands etc that go with running a household. Similarly friends coming by, etc. I find we both have more time now we are sharing the load ... I have cancelled a couple of meets over the years, due too illness, when single. |

Sounds like you dodged a bullet there. If I had been given abuse after having to cancel I'd think I'd had a lucky escape. Who'd want to meet someone like that?! |

We have had to cancel on occasions , we look at it, if they kick off then they are not the type we wish to meet anyway.
We would of course be disappointed if some cancelled but at least they let us know which is the main thing, unlike the now shows we have had.

For us it is mainly the amount of notice given that is the issue. We get very few opportunities to play, especially overnighters, it takes ages to narrow down potential meets, to arrange babysitters, compatible dates(think mother nature there)with potential meets etc etc.
Too then be let down at the last minute with no time to arrange anything else is massively frustrating and annoying. We have had guys in the past arrange to meet then at the last minute say'sorry we cannot come as I cannot get out of going to a family party' If you knew you had a family party to go to why arrange a meet.
As a general rule single guys can be much more last minute and flexible, and in our experience tend not to understand the restraints on couples(we are generalising here and do understand there are men that do).
We have found a couple of guys on here that we want to play with, but they understand our life does not allow for last minute, and are happy to wait.

It's just as bad for couples to cancel as singles .
We play with way more singles than couples , and treat them just as highly .
Perhaps we have been lucky , but we have never cancelled an arranged meet . Plenty of all demographs have failed to show for our meets , and we treat them all with the same level of contempt . We accept there are sometimes unavoidable issues , and if there is reasonable notice we won't block , but those who don't show and don't even message to say they won't make it get the block button - whoever they are . |

People have lives in the real world which some people don't seem to understand. If someone cancels at any time with a genuine reason (not including the bullshitters, wannabes and time wasters) then that's completely and utterly ok. If anyone gets annoyed or upset about that then that just proves they are selfish and self centred and I'd stay way clear of such individuals. |

People have the right to cancel as and when they please; we dont have a contract that says you have to meet; as great as this place is; its still real life and we can do what we want |

We had a couple who we invited to ours last week,as it was quite late in the day they said it was a bit far which was perfectly acceptable so we said we would keep in touch for another time, then we got a message this week saying they were free this weekend and wanted to book a hotel! I replied that 2 of our daughters are in early stages of labour at mo so we don't know for definite if we could make it and would hate for them to be out of pocket if we couldn't, we didn't even get a response which i think is rude! So its not just single guy's couples get stroppy with! I don't think some people realise that just because time is right for them other people have their own live's ! Sorry bout the ramble am tired and getting a little impatient to meet my grandbabies lol |
