following on from the last thread that got closed down as it reached its limit!

Anyone fancy a quick circuit training class??? This could get interesting

Nah. I've decided, in the face of all the fat hating posts, to stick my fingers up, dig my heels in and plant my bum firmly on the sofa.

If foul and nasty people want me to change, I think I'll stay just as I am.

I was thinking more along the lines of some kind of movement and muscle strengthening exercise. I can get on all fours on a soft bed. I call it stamina training,see how long I can stay there doing my resistance against the force coming from behind. My shoulders give out first.

I can do circuits of the room,medium paced walk while you do it. I can do the water runs,towelling down,shower help after. I'm quite adaptable

I did have a few meets with guys who were all about the gym, all about talking about the gym, all about stroking their abs .... couldn't quite see the attractive. Okay to look at, but need a bit of substance, and in their case, there was not too much .... they are none on my list of verifications, by the way.... in case you check

Burpees are always branded as the worst of a bunch of exercises but I'd rather so them than jumping squats any day! The most I've had to do was 110 altogether during a box fit class. Being on the circuits though!

I used to do something similar years ago at fitness classes. It probably didn't help my knees even though I was 9 stone then.

Burpees are a staple for me. I do loads..nothing kicks your arse like 100 burpees for time

Have to do burpees but instead of just going into a push up and then jumping up,have to do the push up but whilst still in planking position kick each leg to the side then as you jump up you do a hook or uppercut.

I loves burpees,yes i realise that qualifies me as a freak but they are one of the few exercises that I've always loved,saying that I love a lot of varied exercises,but hey what the hell,hands still up for shitloads of burpees,mountain climbers,jump squats anything u wanna throw my way

If anyone loves burpees and bodyweight training check out freeletics..high intensity bodyweight training..the workouts are named after greek gods and KICK ARSE!

Sorry its just some think they are doing burpees when in actual fact they are just doing a jumping squat thrust

Try this book - Bodyweight strength training (anatomy) by Bret Contreras.

It's brilliant for giving you simple solutions and shows exactly how much you can do without equipment.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I can do about one burpee before collapsing. Fine with squats, but fall over every time I try a lunge. I'll stick with planks.
