Not something I'm particularly up on, but I'd imagine it's someone who looks, acts and talks (as much as possible!) like a woman.
I think the reason people use the term is to distinguish themselves from the hairy blokes with mustaches wearing their mothers sheer stockings |

I think that to be convincing means you look and act like a woman and that if you went out people would not easily see that you are a TV/TS.
But I really think that being a convincing TV is more about attitude than just looks. I love getting fully dressed up and looking as good as possible but its more my attitude that makes me feel feminine and not just my clothes and make up. |

I can suggest what is not convincing...
A few years ago I was taken as a visitor to a TV club in the Manchester village and there in full splendour was a TV, with full beard and moustache in what looked like his Granny's old dress, sitting legs wide open at a table, reading a railway magazine, pint pot in one hand and a pipe in the other.....
I'd think that almost anything would be classed as "convincing" after seeing that sight....

Not really convincing myself, however I do like to try and work on my makeup, hair(wig, heel and clothes abate quite slutty looking unless I am going out in public. I am quite lucky that I have a small feminine looking face and no Adams apple which helps. How ever my body shape is what lets me down. Yet I do seem to get quite a few admiring comments which is always nice to get.

I think it's a TV who can go out in public and not attract attention, well, not the wrong kind of attention at least.
I go out as often as I can and no-one bothers....although I do like people giving my legs admiring or lustful glances.

Hmmm a really good question. I have been told when I am out I am very convincing but I wouldn't consider myself to be. Now I'm not far off it, my walk is down, voice is soft and and I stay a fem body wise as I possibly can.
Personally if a female tells me I look convincing that seals the deal for me. I dunno, photos are a good indication but when you can carry yourself like a catwalk model in the oh so tight black dress with your make up popping.... well you're not to far off |
