If it bothers you that much go for a run.

I don't mean that negatively but there are plenty of plus size women that do well for themselves so I'm guessing the thread is about a confidence issue with you and not directly due to not getting meets.

You're not going to be everybody's cup of tea, being bigger will put some people off while as you can see from other posters, some prefer/don't care if you're a larger lady.

As other posters have said try looking at your profile and make sure it says what you want.

Also from checking your pictures there's nothing to show your body so if you get some full body shots up people will know your size from the start which saves chatting to then be let down and taking a confidence hit.

And back to my first line, if you're not happy with your size then do something to change it

If someone isnt interested in larger ladies then I presume they would read my profile and pass me by and that is fine.

We all have preferences, but my experiences here so far tell me that plenty of men do indeed like larger ladies or they like the woman for who she is and don't define her by her size.

Ive been reassured very recently that someone does want to meet me and that they think im sexy and beautiful, I do find that hard to accept as I dont rate myself at all. I have boobs, belly, not much of a waist either. I have lost a lot of weight in the past but have gained it back again as I came off my eating plan and now am struggling to get my head back round it again.

I cant see any pics of the female but there are men out there who genuinely like the curvier lady. Ive met one a few times in the last four weeks. I think it takes time on here sometimes, Im choosy which is why I dont meet as much as id like.

We tend to look for great personalities/how we get on with them rather than size(unless it's a single guy but that's different) mr isn't exactly mr skinny and Mrs has more than a few lumpy bits, try going to a club/social meet and you'll see just how much positive attention you'll get haha.

a lot blame medication such as the pill or steroid for weight gain and contrary to popular belief there is no evidence that either cause weight gain in most causes people will gain weight when using the above because they think they will anyway so over eat

I'm not taking the piss out of people with genuine health problems but let's me honest we all know the vast majority of people who are over weight are so by their own hand but can't accept that so blame anything else and yes I do find that comical

But I still will defend people who are ill and take medication that causes weight gain, some people genuinely can't help that

my comment was a piss take at people who have no problems at all but are big because they over eat but then blame any medication they are on to justify their weight gain, I see it ever day at work, people saying it's their meds when I know damn well the tablets they are on don't cause weight gain

I'm sorry but I do find it comical when people who are not ill blame anything they can for being big rather than take responsibility for their own actions, that's not a slur on people who are ill

Actually the pill injection makes you gain weight. I had my first depo provera injection last October and weighed 8 stone 10lbs, had my second injection in January and weighed 9 stone 8lbs was due to have it in April but weighed 10 stone 11lbs. In 6 months I'd put on 2 stone 1lb and that's because the injection pill contains pure progesterone which is also what's in steroids that body builders take, the best gear is the stuff that contains the most progesterone, it makes you grow faster and it makes your appetite insatiable. I've never felt so hungry in my whole life when I was on that pill injection. I was waking up in the middle of the night and going downstairs to eat whatever I could find, bread biscuits, cereal without milk. Tried to eat healthy but was never full just kept eating and eating could eat my aunties beef dinner on a sudsy which usually knocks me out and makes me sleep after it but was eating one of her dinners then asking for extra Yorkshires and roasties then having bread with gravy, then asking for more meat to make fucking beef sandwiches.

I'm rambling now but some contraception can make you gain weight, it done it to me and I'm slim and active and have a job that requires fitness tests and even when not in the gym I've still done my boxing and kickboxing training.

Everyone likes something different so there will always be people who are into you and who aren't.

I would always prefer someone who I know is into me and is not turned off by my size so I'm happy to wait.

Another reason I like a socials first as people look different in person. I think most guys think I'm slimmer than I am from my photos.

The nurse warned me that the depo could make you more prone to gain weight as it increases appetite etc. but she also said that if you don't eat kik a horse you won't gain weight. I ate like a horse and gained a fair bit. I'm still on the depo but have lost nearly 4 stone in the last year just with healthy eating and exercise. Just have to ignore the munchies voices in my head lol.

I think it's hard for people to be confident, even if people constantly reassure them!

I for one was very overweight when I was younger, and was bullied teased etc, that never leaves you and shattered my confidence for life unfortunately.

I still see that overweight person in the mirror to this day and don't have much confidence at all.

I did have my first meet the other day and was so nervous due to "body confidence" I just hope it didn't show! Although she did leave a very good verification

So I think confidence is important, but some people will truly struggle to be confident x

Oh god it was a nightmare, never experienced that need for food before like it's all I could think about and nothing filled me up. Me and my mate were both on it the same time and her boyfriend was home on leave one weekend and she said that she came downstairs in the night and sucked 2 packets of crisps so he couldn't hear her munching. Fucking hell worse thing I ever did was go on that, still not back to what I was I'm 9 stone 3lbs but periods are all to hell and no visible abs yet!

To be honest, your post reflects the fact that you are making a big meal of it and drawing attention to yourself. I think most of the women on here can cope with rejection from one man and certainly reading a post that implies that someone else is desperate and another is arrogant and in demand is a turn off. I would stop digging if I were you ....

Gym bunny look does not appeal to me .... but surely its more about being positive and supportive. what has anyone got to gain by being rude. Unless it makes them feel better. (Saying that made me feel so much better, by the way) ...

I think it's hard for people to be confident, even if people constantly reassure them!

I for one was very overweight when I was younger, and was bullied teased etc, that never leaves you and shattered my confidence for life unfortunately.

I still see that overweight person in the mirror to this day and don't have much confidence at all.

I did have my first meet the other day and was so nervous due to "body confidence" I just hope it didn't show! Although she did leave a very good verification

So I think confidence is important, but some people will truly struggle to be confident x

The Relationship Between Birth Control and Weight Gain

The connection between oral contraceptives and weight gain has been the subject of many studies. One of the main conclusions of these studies is that birth control pills are able to cause weight gain in more than one way. Fortunately, there are ways of minimizing this side effect.

According to several studies, both birth control pills and contraceptive shots, such as DeproProvera, can have weight gain as a side effect. The test involved teenagers who used these contraceptive measures for one year. After this period, the average weight gain of contraceptive shot users was of 6.6 pounds, while the teenagers that took birth control pills had an average weight gain of 5.3 pounds. In 7 percent of birth control pills users, the weight gain exceeded 10 percent. On the other hand, the weight gain exceeded 10 percent of the body weight in 25 percent of contraceptive shot users.

Oral Contraceptives and Water Retention

Birth control pills based on estrogen often lead to water retention. The amount of fluid that is retained is directly proportional with the quantity of estrogen found in the pill. The explanation is given by the fact that estrogen directly stimulates several compounds from the kidneys that lead to fluid retention. The compounds are known as renin-angiotensin. Oral contraceptives that contain around 20 mcg of estrogen are recommended for women who want to avoid fluid retention. Such a low concentration is known to be safe, according to several studies.

Birth Control Pills as Appetite Stimulants

The oral contraceptives that were developed in the past affected insulin resistance, and to some extent even the newer pills are able to elevate insulin levels. When these levels rise, the energy obtained from the ingested carbohydrates is distributed mainly to fat cells. As a consequence, weight loss is prevented, even when a diet is followed.

However, not all women who take birth control pills are predisposed to weight gain. This side effect of oral contraceptives is most frequently observed in women with an abnormal glucose metabolism. Insulin resistance should be analyzed if there are no other explanations for weight gain when taking birth control pills.

Measures to Minimize Weight Gain

As explained before, there is a tight connection between the estrogen concentration found in oral contraceptives and the number of extra pounds gained. Consequently, women are recommended to take birth control pills that contain as little estrogen as possible. At the moment, there are no contraceptives with less than 20 mcg of estrogen. You are highly recommended to talk to your health care provider if you gain weight while taking birth control pills with more estrogen. If the gained weight exceeds 5 percent of the body weight, this may indicate that you have either an abnormal glucose metabolism or insulin resistance. Besides changing the type of oral contraceptive that you take, you can also follow a diet that is low in carbohydrates, as these are the main cause of weight gain when you have an unusual glucose metabolism. By taking these measures, you may be able to avoid gaining extra pounds.

The trouble with this kind of thread is that all it invariably achieves is to spread bad blood and ill feeling between people on here.

Its not bloody rocket science...of course very overweight people are unattractive to some (myself included) in the same way that very underweight people will be found unattractive by many also (again, myself included). Basically, people with a weight and size within what most people consider the 'normal range' will invariably be considered more attractive by the majority....Why the hell do you think so many women spend so much time dieting and supporting what is a huge industry based around weight loss

Being an "oldy" thought I would throw this in .... menopause can be a bastard where weight gain is concerned, goes straight to your middle!! In my younger days I was a size 36/24/36 and was never short of admiring men, the hourglass shape is still there, just a bit more meat on the curves, and I still have my admirers, most are young guys which I love, so Im very happy with my lot
