Do I just ask to get verified on Cam?

How are you suppose to go about getting verified on cam, obviously by going on chat blogs but do I just sit there asking people to verify me or is there a certain protocol\way to ask?

My first one was from being on cam not long after I came on fab, I wouldn't do it again though
