Do any women still enjoy being wolf whistled at? The situation as a woman walks past a building site for example. Does it still happen?!? Or are we too pc now

When I was young it irritated and embarrassed me.

At my age I look around to see who they're whistling at

No.

And now my 14 year old daughter is the subject of catcalls and wolf whistles from drivers - she finds it creepy and embarrassing.

PC?

Not enjoying being objectified is PC?

Try less sexist than more PC.

Oh and no. I don't like being wolf whistled or commented on by strangers.

Anyone know who started the wolf whistle?

I think we all like to have sincere compliments don't we?

Has any lady ever called the bluff of a whistler?

Had a couple as I walked to a club (yes it was dark, I was in pvc and killer heels) made me feel very good. Not sure if they would have survived the ribbing from his mates if I'd said hi though.

I have no idea why you wouldn't like one! It's nice to know someone thinks you're attractive ...

No it's not.

It doesn't embarrass me in public for starters.

I was asked if I like being wolf whistled. I don't. I find it sexist and it makes me uncomfortable.

That's how I feel, so trying to suggest I'm wrong, through any means, is pretty pointless.

I don't like it and it's really not your place to dispute that or to tell me that I should like it.

I don't try to tell you how you feel, or should feel, about anything.

Would any fellas like to be wolf whistled at??

Whistling isnt about "paying a compliment" - it's about being a "lad" (or ladette) and publicly drawing attention to someone with no regard for how it might make them feel.

Personally I would welcome the attention! Why not? Why eould anyone not be happy to know that someone finds them attractive?

On this site you have consented to that, in the street no I don't want to be cat called, whistled at or made to feel like some random's property.

Plus there's always the block button...

On this site, I put pictures up because sex is the objective.

However, when I'm walking on the street with work colleagues, I don't want to be objectified with a whistle (yes, it has happened). When I'm with my husband, I don't need strangers telling him how lucky he is to have gotten me (it has happened). When I'm 13 and walking the streets of Brooklyn home late because I had to stay in class late, I don't need men eying me up and whistling(yes it has happened).

For me, personally, I find the sexualization of myself, outside of a sexual situation, uncomfortable and a bit demeaning.

-Courtney
