It does make me chuckle when I'm viewing people's pics and in the background it looks like a bomb has gone off!
It doesn't matter how much you are striking a pose, if there is a half eaten Crunchie, 3 weeks worth of washing, a load of filthy plates and a dog licking its own bollocks in the background, then I just can't take my eyes off the monstrosity going on behind you!
I think it's my OCD kicking in but seriously at least make your bed you scruffy sods!!
Does this bother anyone else? or am I the only freak that even notices

I have to be honest. Messy/unclean looking backgrounds in pics are a turn off.
It does distract from the picture in my opinion. I am a bit of q clean freak though.

As long as when you meet your house is clean and tidy and your sheets/towels/anything you offer to your guest is fresh and sweet smelling then however you live the rest of the time shouldn't be a problem |

Rooms that look like a fly tipping spot......no ta.
Untidy...........not that bothered. People we've met have tidied up before we arrive.
Show home level of surgical cleanliness is off putting. We're scared to move anything or afraid of leaving marks so feel unable to relax.

Yes. This is one of the reasons I prefer club/hotel meets.
I had one very nasty experience where I travelled a long way for a meet and didn't even want to sit down in the house!
Also I think that if their home isn't clean, their own hygiene may well be suspect! |
