There are risks. But they are much lower than with sex. I personally use condoms with men I have just met, though I do give oral to men I have met regularly without them. I haven't had a problem. But I think most people don't use condoms and are fine as well. It is up to you really. You can do a bit of research on it if you are really worried. That is what I did.

its a shame so many clinics are closing for discrete checks too... I now travel from Wales into England for regular checks as here in Wales we have very few sexual health clinic. .. its more worrying to me that people just won't be regularly screened so that gives everyone more risk. |

Oral has very low risk of contracting an std (obviously there's always that chance).
