There's a really interesting US article entitled 'Why Straight Men Have Sex With Each Other' (easily googleable).
It's a long read but essentially argues that "homosexual desire is just part of the human condition" and that a straight guy having gay sex is not an indicator of them being 'secretly bi' - it's just a thing they do from time to time. Some men place more significance of their gay experiences (and therefore might identify themselves as bi) whereas other men see them as more circumstantial. Just something they do that doesn't stop them being straight.

The author of that article is an idiot. However qualified they are.
Straight men don't sleep with other straight men. As the Americans would say "period".

"straight men don't..... the confused do
You'd think. Someone will be along in a minute with twaddle (in my opinion) about sliding scales of sexuality. "
Can I be the first with the twaddle (in my opinion) "but its only a label"? lol |

Yes, interesting points based on actual research. Too many on here seem to resist anything outside their own understanding as 'twaddle' which is a shame. |

Well, there very obviously are sliding scales, unless you think everyone is either 100% attracted to one gender or 50/50 equally between both. |

Can't stomach the thought of it. I have often wanted to, the idea being a full smorgasbord of sex delights
The reality is, I cannot imagine kissing a guy, don't want another cock anywhere near me and have a very fulfilled sex life with women anyway |

Unless their partners found out of course, or is cheating fine if you don't get caught? |

I don't understand cock-phobia in guys, I'm perfectly happy walking around naked in the changing rooms after a workout, and even chatting to other guys whilst in the buff.
Sometimes I'll even gyrate my hips, causing my cock to whirl around like a clock hand just to show how relaxed I am whilst conversing, the conversations tend to end quite quickly though. |

I meant in a sexual context. I played rugby and basketball competitively. I have always been happy to be naked around men.
But sexually I have no interest.
Dont think I could do a mfm because of it.
I am a sensitive soul |

SB, I know sometimes we agree and sometimes we don't.
On this occasion I'd definitely challenge you to a whirl-off. I think my modestly average semi-flacid member would out twirl your more lengthy fella. |

But remember, force = mass x acceleration, I may be more energetic in my penis swirling. |

I have this mental impression and laughing with tears in my eyes at the scenario.

I only wish I were. It really would make life motor diverse and therefore more interesting.
I am not sure what you class yourself as, as you are hidden, but if you are bi, then I am envious of your freedom. |

"straight men don't..... the confused do

Why is it twaddle?
All it means is that some are very firmly (immovably) at one end of the scale (straight), other are firmly at the other (gay) and some fall somewhere along the scale where things may be more fluid.
I don't for one moment think that the men (or women, but the OP is about men) at the very straight end of the scale would dabble in a bit of situational bi play any more than the very homosexual would. |

I had a friend who did some work in local cottaging sites, with an organisation taking around condoms and testing advice for men who had sex with men. Almost to a man, everyone he spoke to at those sites identified as straight...Some asserted it very forcefully... |

"People who repeatedly engage is same sex activity are not straight....
Its as simple as that.....
Yep. It really is that simple.
...but if you do it occasionally then you maybe str8!!! "

Except there is no research really its mostly an opinion piece by a woman's studies professor (so arguably wholly unqualified for anything let alone such a complex interspecialty subject). |

You are aware a sliding scale doesn't mean you have to be at all points at once?
